The tea party movement exploded onto the political scene in 2009 as a backlash to the agenda pushed by President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats, but a little more than a year later, a POLITICO survey found tea party activists unhappy with many of the biggest names in the Republican Party.
And that could complicate GOP plans to harness the energy of the tea parties as they head into the November midterm elections with hopes of rearranging the balance of power in Washington.
In a survey of more than three dozen grass-roots tea party leaders from 29 states, the partys 2008 presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain, was the Republican most cited as a disappointment. Asked which three national Republicans they were most unhappy with, McCain was named by 18 respondents.
Other congressional Republicans considered disappointments included moderate-leaning Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine, as well as Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of California.

I do not record history of posts. I have a life. But I distinctly recall posts which detailed teachings of the Mormon faith on FR as being vile.
There is no need for that. Unless religion is the main issue on FR.
If some one attacked your religion I will come to your defense also.
In my observation, there have been no terror attacks by CHristians or Mormons based simply on their religious beliefs. Therefore I will defend both religions every time they are attacked.
Your opinion and nothing more. And when are you going to grow out of that knee-jerk, childish name calling as a substitute for intelligent comments?
And you are not the official Reagan interpreter and spokesman on this earth now, though you sure do pretend to be.
No more time to waste on your same old song and dance.
You are a liar about at least two matters in your post.
Regarding your constant attacks on FReeRepublic for
Romney, you were again asked for proof, and so far
you have come up void, as you have each time previously
by each FReeper. Hopefully, you will be zotted away.
As Romney’s pet capuchin, you are unable to discern
an opinion from a direct quote taken from your idiotic
backstabbing Master, Mitt RomneyCARE.
I am putting you on ignore.
Why do you keep spouting that demoralizing hogwash? I've personally explained Palin's reasoning for giving McCain her endorsement in this race to you, as have others -- multiple times, yet you persist in repeating it.
Keep it up, and you'll soon be pegged as a paid operative of someone's campaign.
Gee, where have we heard that before?
You obviously haven't read her book. You're selling her short - much as many sold Reagan short, back in the 70's.
That's the view of most thinking, rational conservatives. I figured that one out about 24 hours after she gave him her endorsement.
Notice that the Palin critics don't mention that she's also endorsed Michelle Bachmann.
Like Michelle Bachmann? Be careful with your pluralisms.
“...Notice that the Palin critics don’t mention that she’s also endorsed Michelle Bachmann.”
There is a reason... It’s because Bachmann is not McCain..
I'll put you down as not giving Sarah Palin a pass on her McCain endorsement.
“I believe climate change is real.”
U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 23 FEB. 2010
With the left, it is just a con job.
With you, it is stupidity.
Ya can’t fix stupid.
“He made his bed and she made hers with kosovo Albanian muslim criminals like Thaci.”
Thaci is nothing but a leading Mafia criminal thug. The McCains sure distinguished themselves with this “friend”
“He made his bed and she made hers with kosovo Albanian muslim criminals like Thaci.”
I hadn’t seen that photo. Do you know when it was taken? Thaci is one scary dude.
I wouldn’t say that. She is choosing to not throw McCain under the bus, which would be hypocritical.
Her support is not in question - it's her motivation for giving her endorsement to McCain that has been explained to you, time and time again.
The fact that you refuse to accept that reasoning just says to me that you've chosen to believe the worst about her, despite the fact that the preponderance of evidence clearly shows her to be a conservative and a patriot of rare quality. Your conclusions and rigid considerations about Sarah Palin speak poorly to your observational skills.
All of you who put on the blinders to support her want to kill the messenger instead of accepting the fact Pain is not the conservative she claims to be.
You've stated that exactly backwards, and in so doing, revealed that you are either incapable of rational thought, or that you have some ulterior motive for attacking Sarah Palin.
The charge you make against Sarah sounds about as plausible as the accolades heaped upon Zero by the left. Sarah doesn't need to "claim" to be a conservative. Her conservative bona fides are proven by her public service record - not speeches.
Sarah Palin has also endorsed Michele Bachmann (and has even donated money to her campaign from her PAC). Care to explain that?
Two years ago, right after Kosovo declared independence. McCain sent Cindy to congratulate Thaci.
Six months later, the Albanian Mafia donated a cool $1M to McCain's presidential campaign saying that "John gave us everything we asked for", including "supplying arms" to support their sex-slaving, drug-running Mafia Kosovo Empire.
Hashim Thaci (AKA "The Snake") is a Mafia Don -- not exaggeration, fact. And that McCain would openly do business with Thaci says to me that they are cut of the same cloth -- evil and corrupt.
