Stupak Slams His Own Democratic Party (Jaw-Dropping Accusation about Mindset of Party of Abortion)
National Review ^ | National Review

Posted on 03/13/2010 7:51:20 AM PST by quesney

Can't believe the National Review buried this nugget in the article. Disturbing, to say the least.

-----

Stupak notes that his negotiations with House Democratic leaders in recent days [about the health care plan] have been revealing. “I really believe that the Democratic leadership is simply unwilling to change its stance,” he says. “Their position says that women, especially those without means available, should have their abortions covered.” The arguments they have made to him in recent deliberations, he adds, “are a pretty sad commentary on the state of the Democratic party.”

What are Democratic leaders saying? “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more. That’s one of the arguments I’ve been hearing,” Stupak (a pro-Life Democrat opposing the bill) says. “Money is their hang-up. Is this how we now value life in America? If money is the issue — come on, we can find room in the budget. This is life we’re talking about.”

According to “Freakonomics” crime rates dropped dramatically because of legalized abortion. That ought to be an argument in its favor... Apparently, unwanted babies grow up into the criminal class.

Everyone knew about Massa's tickle wresting and gay antics. The Democrat leadership held off on ethics charges, till these past few weeks, to send a message to Dems voting no on Healthcare.

You got that right. Just like they held off the gay sex solicitation charges against Republican Congressman Foley until a few weeks before the November 2006 congressional election. It's all part of political strategy to them.

Stupak is amazing in his libtard-ness. After 37 years and 52 million or more abortions, he's just now getting the idea that MAYBE his abortion-worshiping party is really committed to killing. Probably a lot of other Americans are as clueless as he is. This level of mentality needs a new name: Stupak Stupid.

Your post is so true. If the millions of babies that have been aborted over the years had been allowed to be born a lot of our economic problems would not be as severe yet. A growing economy can only continue to grow if the population continues to grow. I would advice seeing the DVDS “Demographic Winter” and “Demographic Bomb”. They are a result of research from professors from several universities around the world and they actually pointed to the economic decline we are now in based on the decline in birth rates (this was before the economic decline had started). The DVDS also point to what could happen in the future...with the illegal aliens coming to this country (mostly males) their home counties are now experiencing a large decline in birth rates...this could be bad for both countries.

God Bless Mr. Stupak and all the other pro-Life Democrats. I sure wish they’d leave the liberal party. They could be a huge help on the Conservative front. But I fully respect them right now and all they stand for in terms of pro-Life and against the oBama madness.

Then they will say “what about the worrying mother who won’t know if her child is in a good home?” Yet this worried mother is not at all worried about her child getting killed.

Leftists will always side with death and misery. Don’t even think for a second that they are normal people who simply wish the best outcome. They are evil monsters who hate humanity unconditionally.

Folks,

Republicans can easily destroy the “health care reform” bill right now; if they will but repeatedly and emphatically declare:

IT WILL KILL OUR STRUGGLING ECONOMY.

If every prominent Republican who attends a presser or gives an interview emphasizes that one crystallized point; the political pressure and citizenry push-back against wavering Democrats in the House will be enormous and irresistible.

ECONOMY KILLER equals JOBS KILLER. And the case can easily and succinctly be made that this new, massively unfunded entitlement will require massive new taxes while hobbling the medical industry. That’s obviously an economy killer. As unpopular as this piece of crap bill is, it can immediately be made much more so with simple clarion emphasis regarding its destructiveness to the American economy.

The American people already hate what the bill stands for (the rotten substance of the bill) as well as they hate the corrupt process that has produced it. Now it needs to be branded into the national psyche that the bill will obviously cause long-term, personal financial harm for everyone. - If Republicans will simply apply massive pressure to this one point (using the new CBO numbers on the “reconciliation / fix it” bill as a new cause for alarm), that would end the ball game. There is no way Pelosi can secure wavering votes in the House if the Republicans concentrate primarily on driving home the message that this bill is toxic to our ailing economy.

“If the Health Care Takeover Bill becomes law, it will make our bad recession much worse.”

But Obama said that there wouldn't be death panels or rationing of healthcare.

We are lied to and told that abortion is to ensure that every child is a wanted child. But now we are told that abotion is encouraged by our government because there isn't enough healthcare to go around.

Let’s just see how committed Stupek is to his widely-professed position that public money should not fund abortion

With the above statements I would say he is fairly committed. The strong language he used was remarkably free of weasel words and political double talk. He burned some bridges with the statements about "the value of life".
