**Artist Showcase**
Eva Marie Cassidy (February 2, 1963 November 2, 1996) was an American vocalist known for her interpretations of jazz, blues, folk, gospel, country and pop classics. In 1992 she released her first album, The Other Side, a set of duets with go-go musician Chuck Brown, followed by a live solo album, Live at Blues Alley in 1996. Although she had been honored by the Washington Area Music Association, she was virtually unknown outside her native Washington, DC when she died of melanoma in 1996.

If you just got home, you need to “spring ahead”, move your clocks AHEAD one hour.
My time hasn’t changed yet, but I’ve already changed all my clocks.

Any snow?No snow. Lots and lots (and lots) of rain.
And wind.
Lost a bunch of tiles from the roof, and some of the siding needs to be fixed up.
Oh, and a tree in the backyard is now about 20-30 degrees away from the vertical, leaning into a second tree. I have to call Allstate later to find out about getting rid of them.
Other than that, we fared pretty well. Didn't even lose our garbage cans.

“Burning Bridges” was the theme from “Kelley’s Heroes” which is still a classic comedy. Carroll O’Connor almost stole the movie out from under everyone else.

I’m so old I remember Michael Oldfield when he and sister Sally teamed up to form a folk act called The Sallyangie.

Of all the movies I've seen, "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" is still one of the strangest. I'm a classical music person, but a pop-opera-movie is still a reach for me. Legrand's music is quite wonderful at times, but even after 45 years, I have trouble assimilating the whole idea.
Legrand's classical background let him hit the jackpot in 1967 when he stole the second movement of Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola in E-flat and turned it into "The Windmills of Your Mind". All that work at the conservatory paid off.

Many, many thanks for the Anniversary wishes.
I wanted to come visit last night but we were working short and I had my ashes hauled all shift long.
We will be celebrating tomorrow on my off day.

I had to work.
We have a couple of people out, one with surgery and the other with a sick husband.
There wasn’t wiggle room in the schedule to let me take off too.
I don’t know what we are doing yet but it will be something.
