Eva Marie Cassidy (February 2, 1963 – November 2, 1996) was an American vocalist known for her interpretations of jazz, blues, folk, gospel, country and pop classics. In 1992 she released her first album, The Other Side, a set of duets with go-go musician Chuck Brown, followed by a live solo album, Live at Blues Alley in 1996. Although she had been honored by the Washington Area Music Association, she was virtually unknown outside her native Washington, DC when she died of melanoma in 1996.

Thank you, alfa. The PBY Catalina was one of my favorites, too, so that the P2BY is in that category.

The one you posted last night was new to me. It’s still a mean looking bird. Too bad it didn’t work out.

See? I’m not a brat. I can be nice when I want to be nice AND when the people DESERVE my niceness!

Saving the one was probably a fluke. After WW-II so many aircraft were just broken up, bulldozed or otherwise destroyed.

AS mentioned the British sank 4 of the Coronados off Bermuda, hopefully they were used for gunnery practice so at least some good would wave come from their demise.
