That’s why Ive never believed those polls that show twice as many conservatives as liberals in this country. Liberals always think they are moderate or centrists. At least conservatives can admit to being what they are.

That would mean that 34% of independents aren’t really independents.It's my perception that "independent" just means inconsistent. Independents vote as conservatives on some issues and as liberals on others. My sister-in-law is an example. She's pro-abortion but opposed to the death penalty (no, I can't explain it).

In the game of craps that is politics, half the battle is in defining terms. How what is rank, diabolical socialism can now, somehow be described as "moderate" goes to show just how screwed up we are.
What is a moderate anyway? Someone who's only halfway to socialism?
