Glenn Beck calls Geert Wilders a fascist, endorses ban on his entering UK
Jihad Watch ^ | 9 March 10 | Robert Spencer

What on earth has gotten into Beck? Is he getting his talking points from Ibrahim Hooper? As Pamela Geller says, "Why would he stigmatize Wilders this way? Wilders is the embodiment of what our founding fathers extolled. Individual rights. Freedom of speech. Not sharia law."

Beck should have more sense.

Beck has no coherent belief system that would give his ideas a sense of consistency. Maybe he fried his brain with alcohol, or maybe he’s just an opportunist who has jumped on the conservative bandwagon. I finally wrote him off after the shabby way he treated Lord Monckton when he interviewed him.

Don’t get to watch Glenn Beck.

Now am glad I don’t. Too bad about Glenn and Fox on this issue.

Saudi money controlling Fox?

Didn’t realize that is a possibility til now.

How can Geert Wilders get before the American / European public more powerfully?

It certainly won’t be through being on Fox.

Beck’s been losing me for some time now. I can’t stand his love affair with Libertarians and its philosophy. He only talks of the good parts of libertarianism, and none of the bad parts, such as legalized drugs, anything goes sex-wise, it’s propensity to be isolationists to an extreme degree, and its in general, anything goes attitude on the social issues. The other nite when he had his “quiz” on what are you philosophy-wise, he said right up front that the people taking the test would find out that they were libertarians as a result. And I’ve had it with his moral equivalency of Dems and Pubs. Plus it really ticked me off when he went after Geert Wilders. Glenn categorizes too broadly; it is a big fault of his to lump people into categories whether they truly belong there or not. It’s a disappointment. I like the history parts of his show, and the group discussions with others that he has periodically, and I like his sense of humor, but he’s grating on me bigtime now for the reasons I have stated herein.

HOLD ON A MINUTE THERE!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhbWEI1mLpA

Beck CLEARLY said that the RIGHt in EUROPE IS FACIST!

He called Gert Wilders FAR RIGHT!

That is a CLEAR insinuation Wilders is FACIST!

If Wilders is FAR RIGHT and the RIGHT IS FACIST, then WILDERS IS FACIST!

Beck cannot escape this accusation!!

“Beck is a Ron Paul idiot.”

Yeeeah. That’s why he went after Medina, a Ron Paul idiot. Anytime we disagree with someone we call them “Paulbots” even when the term is entirely inapplicable.

Beck is unstable and growing more unstable, primarily because he doesn’t have the discipline to listen, even when it’s in his best interest. He does some research, makes an opinion and, in his mind, the debate is over.

I have a feeling that Fox pushed him because of potential instability.

Beck has brought Ron Paul on and treated him with glowing terms recently...

I don’t get the controversy.

“Fair, balanced, and possibly corrupted by Arab money.”

Same reason you can’t question Barry’s birth on Fox. Arab money rules.

His overall point was that Europe is heading back to their class roots. He was saying that unlike America they don’t value Freedom due to their history. They are more of a Monarch society that has become either communist or fascist and he doesn’t want us to move in that direction.

The Tea Patriots have to move back to the Founders and that was his overall point. Its not about individuals its about changing our direction from communism.

Pray for America

Beck is either playing devil's advocate or he's taken on a hit man persona.

LSUfan says

“It’s the Fox directive...on Special Report last night Krauthammer, A.B. Stoddard, and (to a lesser extent) Bill Kristol denounced Wilders as a demagogue.

Fair, balanced, and possibly corrupted by Arab money.” After saying it was a brain fart.

Interesting - I don’t recall Beck presenting himself as a “news reader” for Rupert Murdoch. I thought he was “independent” The fact is Glenn Beck is a self promoter primarily, who occasionally says smart things, but mostly attempts to create an army of followers. And followers who follow a guy who says stupid stuff as often as he says smart things. For him to call Geert Wilders a fascist indicates that Beck is probably more likely the fascist. Of course what do you expect from someone who every single day says there is no difference between Democrats (Pelosi, Rangel, Barney Frank, Rahm Emanuel, Obama, Pete Stark, John Edwards) and Republicans. In other words, Beck is a moron. And, based on his name calling of Wilders, who is one of the few courageous souls fighting PC in a country soon to be destroyed by it. He is a hero; Glen Beck is simply a class clown, who as LSU fan says, often farts out of his mouth.

Beck definitely has some faults. He’s not perfect, but he is still pretty darn good though I don’t always agree with him. His show last week about his grandfathers chair and how he used that as a metaphor for America was really good.

He reminds me of some of my outstanding teachers in school over the years. The ones that stick in your mind 30 years after you have graduated from high school or college. He would have made a great high school teacher. No doubt in my mind. His use of props and metaphors on a daily basis combined with his chalkboard really bring to light a lot of the issues.

The Fox News sold its soul to Saudi masters. So did Glenn Beck. Glenn shamelessly tries to link conservatives to fascism. He knows damn well that Islam is Fascism. Geert Wilders fights against Fascism!

I was a Beck’s fan. No more! Enought is enough!

This guy from Holland is on target and says it like it is. These jerks that condemn his warnings are the equivalent of the so-called leaders who appeased Hitler for years. As far as Beck goes.......he seems more wacky everyday.

Beck’s wrong on this one. Geert Wilders and others like him are the only hope for Europe.

Same reason you can’t question Barry’s birth on Fox. Arab money rules.

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal (the Arab owner you speak of) owns 7% of News Corp, the Murdochs own 40%, and the top 10 institutional holders own 11.53%.

Arab investors don't control FoxNews.

See the institutional owners of News Corp here.

This is bad for Beck. I wasn’t paying attention last night, so it didn’t tag my radar.

This is bad. I can’t recall him ever coming down hard on the Muzzies. There might be something to Fox being in bed with the Saudis.

Wilders is a voice who questions with boldness, and holds to the truth. Beck bashed him for showing a film about the Koran.I’m a little speechless right now. I love the guy, but this is like finding out your kid was shoplifting.

If he screws the pooch with the Massa interview tonight, he will have lost a great deal of credibility with me.
