Kesha Rogers called for the impeachment of President Barack Obama as the centerpiece of her campaign for Congress, and on Tuesday she won the nomination of her party.
The Democratic Party.
It was no stealth campaign. Rogers shouted it from a sound truck that cruised the four-county 22nd Congressional District. She posted an 18-foot banner emblazoned with the message Save NASA. Impeach Obama on street corners. Her Web site is filled with videos and periodic policy statements documenting her stand.
During the campaign, Rogers denounced warnings of global warming as imperialist genocide, proclaimed that London banking interests are bent on ruining America's economy and accused Obama of pissing on the legacy of President John F. Kennedy in proposing to end NASA's Constellation program.

They are very leftie, but a lot of their subscriber base (such as it is) is conservative, so they have to play like they're fair and balanced once in a while.
But only once in a while.
That's pretty much where I stand. She's in a pretty conservative district, so it'll be interesting to learn where her challenger stands.
Lyndon LaRouche people can be amusing...until they're casting votes in Congress on your behalf. (I'm safe - I'm in Culberson's district.)
Pete has remained the one true conservative politician in Texas. Given that, I find it interesting that the Chronicle finally published one anti-Obama article, regardless of its source. Now if she would only say that about some others in Texas as well, like perhaps Sheila Jackson Lee.

Whoops! And thanks justiceseeker93. I’ve got too many tabs open.
I understand what you are saying about Pete moving to the area to run. IMO, the “drafting” of Pete for an elected position of some kind in Texas began several years ago way in the background and I don’t have total admiration for some of those people who were behind it. The final evolution must fall squarely on DeLay’s maneuvering. Seems as how politicians are groomed and created - has always been so and probably will continue. In spite of this, Pete has supported us well this year - there is really little impact he can have since we are in the minority. It remains to be seen what he will do if we are ever in the majority again in the House. I’ve talked to him at length about a number of issues many times and he seems to be on top of what is going on and why and what can and can’t be done. I know for a fact that he really doesn’t like to be in DC. I also know for a fact that any messages I send to his staff here get passed onto him in DC - without their editing. But, time will tell.

PLEASE! The guy worked there for years and then runs for Congress? If he doesn't like the place than he is a fool.
I knew it was a LaRoosie as soon as I saw the phrase “London banking interests”. LOL. LMAO at Texas-22 democrats.
Too funny.
They aren’t moderate or conservative democrats they’re just insane anti-semites who believe the Queen of England and Jewish bankers conspire to blah blah blah. They’re crazy. 1 part Marxist mixed with 10 parts Cocoa Puffs. The movement is literally nothing more than a cult. Some idiots have called La Rouche “far-right” despite his background in insane-o commie circles.
I thought they hated blacks too. Didn’t stop Keesha from joining.
Bless these creeps from continuing to embarrass the democratic party.
This matters not though. This is seat is safe GOP. It was Tom Delay’s. You may recall former rat Congressman Nick Lampson (crushed in 2004 in a neighboring seat after redistricting) won it in 2006 after Delay’s replacement was forced to run as a write in by a liberal judge (imagine if a black dem was kept off the ballot). Lampson was ousted by GOPer Pete Olsen in 2008, one of only a few GOP house gains that year.

Guess I should have finished my statement - The reason he no longer likes DC is because the political climate has changed so dramatically.
Thanks Impy.
Pretty close to the mark...
