Rep. Paul Broun not sure if Obama is citizen

Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) said Thursday that he does not know if President Barack Obama is either a citizen or a Christian.

Broun made the claim during an interview with Sirius XM host Pete Dominick, which was first flagged by the liberal blog Think Progress.

Asked if he thought the president is an “American citizen and a Christian,” Broun first responded, “I’m not going to get involved in that.”

But pressed on whether he thought Obama is a citizen, he said “I don’t know.”

“Is he a Christian?” Dominick then asked.

“I don’t know that,” Broun responded, explaining that “I’m a Christian but only me and the Lord know that for sure.”

The Georgia congressman spent much of the rest of the interview attacking Obama as a “socialist.”

If someone asked me if space aliens had visited earth recently, I'd have to say "I don't know" to that also. "I don't know" is the correct response when you don't have enough information to be certain one way or another.

I don't like the left trying to enforce their version of reality by intimidating anyone who has doubts.

Does the left want to continue to bring this up when they are the ones who promulgated the truther crap about George Bush. Obama I believe is responsible more than anyone else for any ambiguity about his background. Every other President has been forth coming on his education, his medical, and birth records. I don’t know why Obama has been less than forth coming. I don’t doubt his citizenship as much as I believe that he is clearly not all he seems and he also has some features that are more commonly associated with conmen. I wouldn’t be surprised if some day we were to find Obama is not at all the man even we have been led to believe. He isn’t even the same man who ran the campaign. He is not even the same opportunist that he appeared to be as he rose from nothing to with little or no experience to the the Senate and to the White House.

He has did things that suggest that he has an agenda far bigger and far more dangerous than any politician in modern times. He has loaded his administration with radicals that make the appointments of Bill Clinton look tame. He has loaded the justice department with lawyers who representated terrorists. He is pushing this godaweful health bill which is going to destory the Democrat party in ways that will not be repairable for generations. If I were a liberal Democrat I’d think Obama was a mole for how disasterous his main policy agenda is. I am beginning to really think his goal is to totally destory his own party and I don’t yet understand why.

Maybe he is just a naive narcissist who is so out of his league that he is crashing and burning like Nero fiddling while Rome burned but maybe he is something else. It of course never hurts to help the left to a new conspiracy. Maybe Obama is secretly a federalist, he did spend a lot of time with the federalist society working to undermine liberalism through overt radicalism. ;-)

That's definitely a step in the right direction but it begs the question if Broun knows BO/BS is violating the Constitution then why wait to pass more legislation when BO/BS is already ignoring the Constitution ?

Since when does "he does not know" = "he made a claim".

Until such time, if any, that the evidence is presented for fair examination, "does not know" is the only correct answer.
