Please read about Breitbart's opening salvo against John Podesta and Media Matters.
This is not paranoia. Media Matters, a Soros outfit, is hiring "interns" to come on conservative forums and try to sow division, slow down momentum, forment confusion. And they are better at it than they used to be. They don't curse and swear like liberals on their own forums do.
Like parsifal and his crew? Trust me, they are already here and it’s working like a charm. I stayed off of FR all day, just did not feel like facing the trolls that hide behind longevity, even though their longevity includes 5 year gaps.

I was researching today on Birther infiltration because I swear there’s a few (not all by any means) who have got to be from DU. On one site somebody said, Republicans were jumping out of the windows of 10 story buildings to get away from the birthers.
Coulter is great. I have two or three of her books. My mom has me reading the Sarah Palin one. And my sister one by John Derbyshire. I live in a nest of Republicans, now. Birthers to boot, but not to the extreme. So I renamed the stray black cat “Barack” to mess with them. They cringe every time I call him.
Beck, I like though I disagree with some of his characterizations. I try to watch a variety of shows so I don’t get stuck in a rut, and like Ed Schulz, but I can’t say that without getting in trouble.
IMHO, the Birthers are the only thing Obama has going for him. He can point to them and say “Hey voters, it’s me...or them.... “
parsy, who would like to see them work a lot more “quietly”
I’ll be back on the economic stuff soon. I found a really cool article on Ronald Reagan Corrupting the Conservative Movement, which I have read a few times, and mostly disagree with, but I do think he let way too many Libertarians in.
But that wasn’t the point of the article because it was written from more of a libertarian POV. Plus I voted for him twice, and now wonder if that was where the budget really went south. BUT, with the choice of Carter or Mondale, I mean, I’d still pick Reagan in a second.
Maybe I can find more good sources. But I digress.

BTW speaking of the Bible thread have you read the Message Bible ?
I was researching today on Birther infiltration because I swear theres a few (not all by any means) who have got to be from DU.
Actually, I think they are conservatives who had a "psychotic break" when Obama was elected.... I mean it happens to the best of people at times... and for them, it was just too much to take and they "went over the edge" in their minds.
The rest of us understood what had happened and were very unhappy about it and decided to get down to work and get him out the next time around and also to "close up the loophole" in the law that did not legally require a candidate to produce his birth certificate. I just hope that this state law can get passed before the next Presidential election comes around.
It's unfortunate that some conservatives just went "whacko" when Obama got elected, but it has to do with "coping skills" I would say and they need a bit of help, is all I can say about it.
Perhaps there are some from DU who have joined the birthers in "making hay" over here, but I would say that it's mostly conservatives who don't know how to cope since Obama got elected and this is their way of doing it...
On one site somebody said, Republicans were jumping out of the windows of 10 story buildings to get away from the birthers.
Well, it's safe to say that if a Republican or any conservative expects to get elected to some political office that they know enough to stay as far away from the birther issue as possible in a campaign. That's the "kiss of death" for them as a candidate, if they ever get labeled as a "birther" in a campaign.
Now, that doesn't apply to getting a law passed for all candidates to supply a birth certificate or else they cannot get on the ballot, because that just makes sense all by itself and it applies to all candidates in the future. People can live with that kind of position. No..., it's being a birther, in terms of maintaining that Obama is not currently qualified to be President, because of him failing to meet certain qualifications -- that's what will kill a candidate in short order...
And those kinds of candidates would rather jump out of a window than get that label attached to themselves in an election.
Reagan got lambasted in the democrat (sorry, it's your side) press for vetoing too much spending. The Republicans got trashed by the democrat (your side) press because Clinton vetoed not enough spending.
That's a fact you might want to chew on while you vote for them.
You mistake detection and exposure for enforcement.
For instance, when I encountered what I believed to be the same poster posting under two names (and very similar joining dates, one after the other), I didn't call the cops.
I posted, "My, my--what a coincidence!" and drew the thread's attn to a potential planted troll. Notice, derail, defuse. After all--it could really be an amazing co-incidence.
True. But if the Birthers could step back from the battle some, and take stock of their position—they have some options left to them. While they are going to lose the birther BATTLE, if they realize that fact, they could end up winning the Birther WAR.
That would require creative “Zen Master” thinking and the ability to adapt, change, and evolve. And it would be fun and entertaining for all freepers. And, it would be a “just” victory, built on 90% moral grounds, and 10% Zen Master reality tweaking. Kinda like the Tao-—you know you don’t fight the Way—you work with the Way.
But you can’t get them to realize step one—the battle is lost. And that realization is essential to the rest of the strategy.
parsy, who thinks about these things.
They are also considered apostates and quickly dealt with unless residing under the wing of us infidels.
How many times does the correlation between muslim population and muslim agitation for sharia have to be demonstrated before "moderate muslim" pollyannas figure out their favorite anecdote is irrelevant to the big picture.
The only way for muslims to get along with other faiths is to functionally renounce islam.
Ask yourself this question: If muslims living in western nations are being straight with their host cultures, why do they insist we accept their assurances, but refuse to accept our assurances?
I was never good at this Zen thing... so I think you’ll have to explain that strategy to me... :-)
The only thing I can think of is to get the state law passed and then get Obama out of office on the basis of the economy and so many being out of work. That works pretty much all the time for whomever is in office. People don’t like the economy tanking and people being out of work.
But, please do explain further what you’re talking about... and thanks...
But, I was a Republican back then. And one of the things that really p*ssed me off was the way the Democrats trash-talked Reagan at every frigging step. Reagan wanted to get us in a nuclear war, and he was stupid, and hated poor people, etc. And all the stupid “homeless” stories. It just made me as mad as heck.
You know, the man was our president, and people had a right to disagree with his policies all day long-—but to jump from that to “Reagan is out to destroy America” was crap. Which is one reason I couldn’t stand Ted Kennedy and whats his name, Tip O’Neill. They were always taking it to that extreme.
BTW, I haven’t actually voted for one of them yet. Kerry was a dip, and Obama——I would voted for him just out of anger at the GOP-—but I stayed home. Guess I haven’t lost my democrat cherry yet. Now, the democrats are irritating me, so I am thinking about joining the Green Party or something. Or the Save Our Trees party. Some party where they have some sense, if there is any such thing.
parsy, who is fed up with the whole bunch
My point was just what I said, you pull that routinely, it is an attempt to draw Catholics into your Mormon/Romney agenda as though anti Romney sentiment is only anti Mormon and then you try to draw in the Catholics as fellow victims, against I guess Protestants.
Slick but I don’t think that it is very effective, this trying to create a myth that being anti Romney is only for bigoted Protestants that dislike Catholics and Mormons.
Actually it is an incredibly bigoted and cynical strategy, even evil but I guess anything in the service of Mitt, right?
You have to take it in steps. I call it The Freeper Mass of Maniacs Strategy. (MOMS for short)
Ok here is where it starts. First, the Assessment of Reality. Brutal Truth. The Kenyan stuff ain’t going anywhere. Period. 1. —Dude was born in Hawaii. 2. if Dude wasn’t born in Hawaii, then he is one ballsy SOB to put a fake COLB out on the internet. Too many ways for it to crash. But, if dude could fake a COLB, he could fake a long form.
Under either 1 or 2, the Kenya angle is a loser. Put your eggs in the Kenya basket, and you are going to lose your eggs. Realize accept it.
Same on the legal aspects. I won’t go into it in detail, but the law is not the Birther’s friend. It’s another dead end. Birthers are already get thrown out of court. Face it. Accept it.
Now where does this leave the birther movement? A great big huge Mass of Maniacs who will embarrass conservatives and boost Obama. And at this point, your average Birther starts feeling all dejected, their meaning in life is gone, and they get testy and start lashing out.
BUT THEY ARE GIVING UP TOO SOON. You see, the Birthers have created something. A powerful thing. A powerful thing that could be used against Obama. What is the thing?......drum rolls.....
TADA! Themselves! They have created a rabid Mass of Maniacs. MOMs are not a thing anybody wants. No one wants to responsible for them. So here is how you turn a liability into an asset.
YOU BLAME OBAMA FOR THE MOMs.
Say, 10% of the MOM’s selectively disengage from the movment. They become “Blamers” instead of “Birthers”. They blame Obama for the Mass of Maniacs running around the country.
And the beautiful part is, he is kinda responsible. He has been holding on to the information which would have diffused the movement. He held on to it for nefarious purposes—to wit: Political advantage to have the conservatives smeared with by a Mass of Maniacs. I can see the fine hand of Rahm Emanuel all over this.
So, by this method, the MOMs become something to smear Obama and Rahm and Pelosi with. 90% of the MOMs continue being MOMs, so you don’t have to convert or even tell them about it. They are happy to be MOMs.
And, the crazier they act, the more the Blamers get to blame it on Obama.
The result is, by simply accepting the Way things are going, it is now possible to redirect the Negative Energy of the MOMs onto the Democrats. And particularly Obama.
MOMs can still be MOMs. Freepers can still complain about them, but now we will direct our criticism at the Machivellian String Pullers in the White House. And this is where the blame lies, if you think about enough.
Obama is our president, and he should not allow a significant portion of our population to go bonkers so that he can benefit from it. He has a responsibility to us all that is more important than politics...and a duty.
So, what do you think?
Parsy, who has a minorish part deux to this
Part Deux:
All the “free the long form” stuff? That plays right into the “Blamer” movement. Blamers can say all they ever wanted was the long form, partly so they could diffuse the MOMs.
And the corroborating evidence that Obama has been playing fast and loose with his Presidential duties? The Birthers have been close.
Currently, the tab is up to $1.5 million in legal defense fees, but this number is simply incorrect. It is the total spent on Perkns Coie. It is way too high, and no one knows how much he has spent. AND NEVER WILL. But this is an advantage. This lack of knowledge permits reasonable estimates. And no one knows what time federal employees have spent.
The amounts I have seen for legal defense has been stated at $2,000 or $3,000 in total. That is way too low. This is baloney. There are something like 60+ lawsuits. No way an attorney is going to federal court (most of these?) for peanuts. My guess is $5,000 at a minimum,or about 30 hours per case at $150/hour. But if $5,000 per case, then you have about $300,000 in total.
But say $200,000 including value of time for federal employees. This isn’t $1.5 million-—but it is a heck of lot more defensible. And it don’t take $1.5 million to rile people up. A couple of hundred thousand will work fine.
Now you have blame, you have the obvious FACT that Obama hasn’t produced a long form or certified copy yet, and you have the FACT of about $200-300,000, a good faith estimate, in legal costs that should never have been incurred, and you have the MOMs out there banging on courthouse doors, and HDOH doors, and radio shows, etc.
And now it is Obama’s fault. You haven’t done anything but re-allocate the blame where it arguably more belongs.
And, because of presidential bad behavior, you also have a good reasonable reason for changing state laws to require certified birth certificates
parsy, who is taking a bow
You know, I don't normally stoop to the childish level I have here. I must apologize. That being said, I'm here because you pinged me to this thread.
You betcha. Almost as much as the Deltas enjoyed ramming the parade stand with Dean Wormer on it.
LOL!!!! And I finished my tea before laughing. Didn’t spill it!
I'm supposed to remember everyone who takes issue with me for one reason or another?
PLEASE! There are hundreds, I'm sure.
You would have to really make an impression in order to stand out.
I guess you didn't.
I did so because on another thread you had mentioned that you hadn't been on FR for a while and that you were not up with what was going on here with organized attacks.
I pinged you to this thread so that you could read first hand what the other side is up to.
One thing you have to realize is that those of us who have been following this issue know who the disruptor's are, when you see us ridiculing, mocking or insulting them it's because they have been doing it to us for a good amount of time. They show up and offer no discussion, just the same old tired arguments.
I realize it may not make sense to some one who is just now getting caught up, but that's what's going on.
Your apology is most gracious, I apologize too.
