The budget going south can clearly be identified under Clinton, not so much Reagan.

Reagan got lambasted in the democrat (sorry, it's your side) press for vetoing too much spending. The Republicans got trashed by the democrat (your side) press because Clinton vetoed not enough spending.

That's a fact you might want to chew on while you vote for them.

But, I was a Republican back then. And one of the things that really p*ssed me off was the way the Democrats trash-talked Reagan at every frigging step. Reagan wanted to get us in a nuclear war, and he was stupid, and hated poor people, etc. And all the stupid “homeless” stories. It just made me as mad as heck.

You know, the man was our president, and people had a right to disagree with his policies all day long-—but to jump from that to “Reagan is out to destroy America” was crap. Which is one reason I couldn’t stand Ted Kennedy and whats his name, Tip O’Neill. They were always taking it to that extreme.

BTW, I haven’t actually voted for one of them yet. Kerry was a dip, and Obama——I would voted for him just out of anger at the GOP-—but I stayed home. Guess I haven’t lost my democrat cherry yet. Now, the democrats are irritating me, so I am thinking about joining the Green Party or something. Or the Save Our Trees party. Some party where they have some sense, if there is any such thing.

parsy, who is fed up with the whole bunch
