Obama tries to remain calm during political storm
Washington Post ^ | March 4, 2010 | Eli Saslow

Posted on 03/03/2010 8:55:26 PM PST by Second Amendment First

The president who so famously rejects drama and derides political theater walked into the East Room at 1:45 p.m. during one of the wildest political stretches in recent memory. In the past few days, a White House spokesman was forced to defend Obama's pugnacious chief of staff and his departed social secretary. A Republican senator held a spending bill hostage, despite protests within his own party. A Democrat considered resigning as chairman of a major House committee, then vowed to stay on, then announced he would take a leave of absence.

As this chaos ricocheted through the Capitol, the president entered in a pressed black suit, shoulders straight, eyes calm, voice measured. The chairs inside the East Room were arranged in perfect rows of 10. Doctors wearing long white coats stood with hands clasped behind their backs and flanked Obama onstage.

"At stake right now is not just our ability to solve this problem," he said, "but our ability to solve any problem."

Also at stake now for Obama is his trademark composure, which will be tested like never before during the next two weeks. With governance already seemingly in disarray, Obama announced that he wants Democrats to push through his health-care reform legislation by calling for a simple-majority vote within the next few weeks. It is a process sure to further inflame the capital, and it raises a question central to Obama's presidency: Will his evenness help ease the disorder around him? Or will the rising tension undo his signature bill?

He has all the composure of a 14 year old girl at a birthday party.

If anyone can’t contain his arrogance, his contempt and his disdain for other views, it is the TOTUS-reader.

Paddles at the ready, eh? One day, Hussein is gonna lose it in front of everybody. Unless the docs have already insured that he's "feeling no pain", which is possible, I guess.

Also at stake now for Obama is his trademark composure Composure? The guy flips the bird at opponents whenever he can, pouts and grimaces when confronted, scowls and smirks. Maybe composure could be replaced by "high-strung."

I agree, I think his loathing for our country is poorly disguised, and he is one angry dude who could pop at any minute if the peons are not willing to submit to him and his thugs.
Combine that with the doctor telling him he should not smoke and cut back on drinking (whatever info THAT came from, we have not heard), AND watch his cholesterol. Combine that with Moosechelle nagging him about all these topics, and you’ve got a recipe for an eruption!

POTUS Obama is living in failed presidency. Any Democrat in the Senate or House, better forget about the Obamacare bill, and start producing policies and laws that create “real” pivate sector jobs and “real” private sector economic growth. Obama, the devoted socialist/facist that he is, does not have a clue nor does he care!!!! Want a little more push Democrats Here is some Texas primary voting numbers from last Tuesday’a primary election in the Lone Star state. The number of voters that cast votes in the Republican primary, 2,082,965. The numbers of voters who voted in the Democrat primary, 679,877. That makes for a Republican winning margin of 1,403,088 votes. Sorry, Democrat Bill White, Republican Rick Perry is the next Governor of the great and growing state of Texas. Oh, by the way, Mayor Bill White, do you want POTUS Obama to come to Texas to campaign for you. Maybe he can have Rev. Jeremiah Wright tag along, you know, for moral support and America hate (only a joke). Any Texas House Representive that votes for Obamacare is an endangered species here in Texas!!! Beware Democrats, we are waiting for November, 2010 to get here!!!

The gag-me tone of this paragraph cannot bury its essential meaning: Obambi has hoisted his own petard with this reconciliation gambit and there's a huge political risk that he and his presidency will be hoisted up with it.
