Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) will not seek re-election after only one term in office.
According to several House aides – on both sides of the aisle – the House ethics committee has been informed of allegations that Massa, who is married with two children, sexually harassed a male staffer.
Massa and his office did not immediately respond to requests for comment, but his office has scheduled a press conference for later this afternoon.
Massa, a 20-year Navy veteran, was elected to office last November. He serves on the Agriculture, Armed Services and Homeland Security committees.

You handle this lightly, but in my experience it is the Navy Officer Corps that has a significant number of folks behind homosexualizing the military.

I don’t know, but the timing of this story breaking a day after Massa announces he will vote against the Senate version of the health care bill seems suspicious to me.

He’s the one who went to the Kos Convention in Pittsburgh and proclaimed that his district was full of racist rednecks.
Massa is my congressman. I wrote a blog article about the incident you refer to, that occurred at the Netroots Conference in Pittsburgh:
You know you're not being represented properly when your congressman refers to his constituents as rednecks and repeatedly (6 times!) states on camera, that he will vote against the will of his constituents!
