Apropos (D)'s changing the law in MA after EMK's death, they screwed themselves. If they had left the law as it was, they might have won. (Not to mention the fact that EMK should have done the right thing for his party and resigned long before that.)

If Rangel had done the right thing and stepped aside months ago, it wouldn't be happening at this inopportune (for his party's) time.
