Scathing report: Tea partiers just like Timothy McVeigh

A new attack by the Southern Poverty Law Center charges the tea-party movement is "shot through" with radical ideas and tied with "hate groups," "furious anti-immigrant vigilante groups" and "so-called 'Patriot' groups."

The SPLC report, "Rage on the Right, The Year in Hate and Extremism," assails Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-Minn., for "plugging" anti-government ideas and Gun Owners of America Executive Director Larry Pratt for daring to promote Second Amendment gun rights.

The SPLC's Mark Potok warns "so-called 'Patriot' groups – militias and other organizations that see the federal government as part of a plot to impose 'one-world government' on liberty-loving Americans – came roaring back after years out of the limelight."

The report echoes themes in a U.S. Department of Homeland Security report last year that characterized "right-wing extremists" as opponents of abortion and illegal immigration and supporters of gun rights and third-party political candidates.

The SPLC said the "radical right" "caught fire last year."

The Southern Poverty Law Center is another one of those shake down organizations. It's whole MO is to create problems where there are none and then smear people who don't deserve to be smeared. They then try to make out people who are fine and decent to be despicable. This is how they solicit money from gullible fools. My foolish cousin was coned into donating to them. When I proved to her how horrible this organization was/is she was very angry that she was conned. Fortunately the contribution was not that large. This is truly a despicable organization. They need to be investigated.

Southern Poverty Law Center is a libtard/progressive outfit that simply hates any aspect of right wing activism which they automatically insinuate or outright attribute to right wing extremism; hence why they compared the Tea Party activism to the violent extremism of Timothy McVeigh.....which anyone can do without providing sufficient background material to the reader on the DIFFERENCE between Tea Party ACTIVISM and the violent EXTREMISM of Timothy McVeigh. Furthermore, Southern Poverty Law Center blatantly...BLATANTLY... ignores a wide variety of left wing extremism and like activism to extremism comparisons. I do know that in their "patriot group" list for Idaho they have one listed that was one guy all by himself, and his website got yanked months ago.

Dunno if he just didn't pay for it or if his hosting provider closed it for content, which there wasn't any hate or racism at all on it.
