U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., said Sunday information he received as a member of the House Armed Services Committee showed there was no plot. The five Muslim soldiers who were connected to a translator training program had been detained in December while the Army investigated.
"The investigation revealed that there was not an effort to poison food," Wilson said. The probe also showed the men had not been disloyal.
Four of the soldiers were discharged from the Army for petty crimes, Wilson said, and the fifth was returned to his National Guard unit in Virginia.

They were discharged for minor crimes.
If crime were minor they would have received an Article 15 if found guilty then a fine and/or maybe some other non-judicial punishment (Base restriction, extra duty etc)
There is some level of coverup going on in this case. All of them discharged but one?
No other way to accurately assess it.
How is the Christian Broadcasting Network News reports any less reliable than NBC, ABC, CNN, CBS etc?

Story shapes up that the Army was and IS unwilling to fully investigate or reveal information because of the politically incorrect nature of the story.
Joe Wilson is reporting EXACTLY what HE has been shown as the current status of the investigation, and if you read between the lines, he is indicating that there are other charges that may lead elsewhere.
Lynch mobs? Did you SEE any forming? Did you SEE any groups outside the base? Americans, as a whole, are NOT going to go “lynch mob” but we ARE going to demand that those in positions of authority DO THEIR DAMN JOB, no matter WHAT their religious affiliation AND that does NOT give a pass to those who are in the medias “protected” category of religions.

This “no sign of terrorism” line has been common since at least Clinton.

Cook what? They were translators, not cooks. And the Army says there was no food plot.

I’d be very surprised if these are the only members of the military separated in the time frame, be it for DADT, porn, drugs, or what have you. Whatever is on the computer, if there was evidence of Jihad or some serious lesser offense, do you think they’d be released from service without being arrested ? Two months of investigation at least, and no arrest, no indictments, zip in criminal terms. That doesn’t add up in terms of this thing being related to either national security or significant criminal activity.
I’d be very interested in seeing some actual proof before I call American soldiers traitors. But that’s just me. I never liked the smell of tar and feathers are getting expensive. The only things I am certain of is 1) the Army said there was NO plot to poison an entire army base, as the buffoons at CBN reported so proudly as an EXCLUSIVE. And 2) treason is too serious a charge to bandy around as carelessly as is the habit from some on FR.

Or having Patton take orders from an Eisenhower? Or sending Nisei translators to Okinawa?
If and when I see some facts that these soldiers were a danger to their comrades and the United States I’m fine with any punishment they receive. But until then as I said before, I don’t like lynch mobs. If that bothers some, I can live with it.
This story stinks to high heaven. SOmething is being covered up here and they knew people would just laugh at a dem saying this, so they have Wilson say it.

.......AGREED.....Political correctness has made us just plain stupid.....When I look at Obama, he looks like a Muslim and I am astounded that he is president......And his obvious disdain for the traditional American way of life and everyone in congress and elsewhere are just business as usual.....
