Tea Party Anniversary Rally
Saturday, February 27th
At The Duck Pond in Temecula, California
The turnout was great despite the rain. All told, with people coming and going between cloudbursts, the estimate was put at around 200 people.
Thank you to everyone who took time on a very wet Saturday afternoon to wake up their fellow Americans.
The Patriots who came out today sent an even stronger message in defense of liberty by doing so in midst of a downpour. The support for our message was strong as evidenced by the honking, waving and thumbs up from drivers passing by the Duck Pond.
People out on the street with their fantastic signs and majestic flags were smiling although drenched to the skin. Our freedom, our way of life, our constitution and being an American in the greatest country in the world were important enough for the folks captured in the photos below to stand out in the rain for liberty.
This is Who We Are .Happy Warriors.
A small group of hardy souls went from our freedom rally to counter protest the Pro-Obamacare rally that took place later that afternoon over at Margarita and Winchester. The atmosphere there was sad and at times hostile. This group of six was subjected to what has been characterized as an unhinged and at times vile rant from a clearly unstable man. While outnumbered by the o-bots their 40 to our 6, this small group of patriots stole their thunder and received the enthusiastic support of passers by .
We outnumber them folks! Let us be reminded that we should never back down from what we believe in because freedom is far more precious and necessary to life.
In closing, let me add my heartfelt thanks to the members of Temecula Valley Republican Women Federated for staging a successful petition signature gathering/voter registration effort.
To Murrieta Temecula Republican Assembly for handing out great information and letting folks know about the local grassroots efforts in the Valley.
Thanks are also due to Doug Gibbs for sharing his knowledge on our beloved Constitution.
To Ken Pettigrew for broadcasting live on site, conducting interviews and sending out a live video feed to the world at large on our event.
To Mark Center for his hard work in putting together a great music program and for relieving the gloominess of a rainy day.
See you all on April 15th!
Still...it was a fun and productive day.
I'll post more pics and blog links below on this thread.
