Disasters - earthquake, Tsunami, others - happening rapidly now.

Read Matthew 24. There will be earthquakes.....etc.

When we see these events occurring in increasing frequency it is because these are the "birth pangs" that we have been told by Jesus Christ Himself - would happen closer together in time as do the birth pangs of a woman in labor. The closer she gets to giving birth, the worse the birth pangs become and the closer together they come.

These mysterious cloud videos on youtube do not convince me of anything. I believe that the signs the Bible refers to will be worldwide the likes of which no human has ever seen before, strange things in the cosmos, strange weather, strong earthquakes where the have been no earthquakes. Things that have never before happened throughout human history, none of those things are happening right now, all the earthquakes and mysterious clouds have happened before, for thousands of years.

That is what I find ironic. If one has faith in Christ the end times should be the least of their worries, and the last thing they need to have their mind on. It distracts from serving him to worry about such things.

It goes much deeper than that.

My Grandmother died from cancer in 1967. I was 8 going on 9. The last few weeks of her life she stayed at our house and my mother took care of her. She had cancer that had spread to her stomach and lungs.

I remember a conversation we had. I remember it like it was yesterday. The sun coming in through the windows, the smell of the medicine.

I knew she was dying and I asked her if she was afraid. She looked at me and kind of laughed a bit. and sat up in bed a bit. When she got her breath back she told me this.

"I believe in Jesus and that he has saved me from my sins. I have believed this since I was a young girl and because of that belief I have had a full and happy life. I have been given a wonderful and loving husband, 3 wonderful children and 4 grandchildren who I love dearly. If I am right, then when I die I will go to heaven to be with my friends and family who have gone before me. I will have a new body with no pain and no tears. I will be with my Savior Jesus forever." "If I am wrong, then when I die there will be nothing." "Even if I have been wrong, I am glad that I believed all these years because I am happier now because of it." Then she said. But what about the person who doesn't believe. What if they don't believe, and I'm right?

Convinced me. She lived just long enough to see me baptized. I miss her so much, but I KNOW I will see her again. And at 52 I can now honestly say it will be sooner rather than later, no matter the cause.

I know how you feel. My mom died at 56 from cancer. That was years ago and I still miss her.

But what I was trying to say is too many have a morbid fascination with some sort of end time. I don't know what is going to happen in the future and I think it is unhealthy to obsess on it.

I guess you didn't read Matthew 24 or you'd know that the description of wars, earthquakes, etc., etc. are describing the everyday condition of the world. Jesus went on to say that as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be for the return of the Son of Man. He then specifically said that it will be like it was in those days, people going about their daily lives, getting married, etc., with no clue at all about what was going to happen until it crashed down upon them. He then went on to describe the signs of his immediate return: a tribulation unprecedented in human or world history, the sun and the moon growing dark, the stars falling from the sky, and the sign of his appearance in the heavens witnessed by every person living on earth. But the wars, rumors of wars, famine, earthquakes, pestilence are all just part of the usual nature of things.

I am not worried at all. And not one bit afraid.

But I would like to see millions turn to Jesus BEFORE the Rapture comes - wouldn’t you?

I can't understand why and how people can reject him, and his offer of eternal life, salvation, GOD'S OWN GIFT of HIS PERSONAL RIGHTIOUNESS TO US.

When we believe on Jesus Christ, and ask him to save us " BORN AGAIN " .... and ask him to come into our lives, and we receive his gift of salvation, how can any one reject that ? or reject GOD's love ?

And it's something that is so easy.

When we are covered in the blood of Jesus Christ and have his personal gift of righteousness, GOD's passes over us his judgment... just like the passover ....

The reason why some reject it, is because they refuse to see, they reject it because they can't understand it, they reject it because they love darkness more than light.
They laugh and mock it because they don't want to see out of a heart of un belief.

You don’t think a 7.0 earthquake in Haiti - the worst earthquake there in 200 years - or an 8.8 earthquake in Chile the most intense earthquake in the world (that I have read of) so far this year - you don’t think these are “special events”???
