"It's another one of these power grabs by the government - which appears to be rather rampant now, to say the least..."McCain likes to run offense for the progressives, doesn't he?

Government regulation works so well, lets have more of it, Senator McCain. Yeah, that’s a plan.

Dr. Raymond Woosley, president and CEO of the Critical Path Institute who has a doctorate in pharmacology, said the bill would be an important step. "There are dangerous compounds and unbelievably risky compounds that have been marketed without any regulation at all from the FDA," he said, adding that popular supplements such as saw palmetto and gingko biloba ought to be regulated as medicine if they're promoted as medicine. As if anyone needed more reasons to dislike Juan McCain. Here we see the (intended) incrementalism that slices away at so many of our freedoms. And that is what many who support McCain's Nanny State meddling actually intend. This would just be a step toward regulating all supplements.

It's obvious that in the mcCain't family, Juan is more like Megan, than Megan is like Juan.
He should be using all this energy to stop the "medical marijuana franchises" in Colorado...on the news they said these outlets outnumber Starbucks franchises in that state.
Now it was my understanding that medical marijuana was for terminal cancer patients, or patients that are in chronic pain of some sort, or for glaucoma patients. But I'm wondering, percentagewise, if there are enough of these patients collectively to justify and support that many "pot" stores.
Maybe someone is writing bogus prescriptions out there...I'm just guessing here.
But, ol' Juan, well he thinks our vitamins should be regulated...sounds like a chapter of obamacare to me.
Seems that every bill that McCain't has attached his name to does something to limit our freedoms...makes one wonder where his real loyalties lie, huh?
Now Juan, we know you got shot down and spent a long time as a POW, and you have earned medals, received honor and recognition for that over and over through the years. A lot of people even voted for you for President, including me.
We owe you a lot of thanks and gratitude, and we honor you for your accomplishment, however, WE DON'T OWE YOU OUR FREEDOMS...not by a long shot.
You've had your run, now go help your wife run her brewery and let someone else take over.

The morons in Washington wake up with nothing better to do than think of a ways to regulate what Americans buy. As if we’re not regulated enough!

I wonder why McCain thinks that regulating dietary supplements needs to be done RIGHT NOW. His priorities seem to be out of whack again.

Thank you for this article, rabs.
If Juan should win the primary, he most likely would coast to victory in Nov. He look ridiculous calling in the 'big guns' to campaign for him, if he was that likable in AZ why would he need any 'big name' support?
His supporters are RINOs.

In this sea of people out of work and businesses failing, mcCain wants to shut down hundreds of thousands of jobs and drive companies out of business.
Dorgan of N Dakota is in on this bill, too; Tom Harkin also had a hand in it. But the head of the snake, McCain, needs to be unemployed next Nov.
