For the last decade, American men have been inundated with the idea that women prefer men who are in touch with their feminine side, men who are not afraid to spend a little extra time in front of the mirror, and maybe even wear a little make up to highlight the features of their face. We are told that men like John Kerry and Barack Obama are what women really want. Men who are not only unashamed of their femininity, but men who will even go so far as to display such faith in their feminism in public as Obama has time and time again.
Well, please allow me to set the record straight, because it seems that Al Gore, John Kerry, and Barack Obama are really not the type men that turn the ladies on. I found this survey from a deodorant company that inherently, just makes sense to me. I had not heard of this survey before now, but I have read numerous reports in Australian and European papers about it. I'd link you to the survey itself, if only I could find it, but like many polls and surveys it has disappeared within a few months. As I stated, most of my facts about this survey have been gleaned from information I could attain from the many articles written about the results. I must admit that I'm delighted with the findings, for me they make total sense. My guess is that the MSM would rather the men of America continue believing that women desire the kind of feminine men that currently occupy the White House. However, the way companies advertise their products proves that the following results of this survey must be true.
In an independent study commissioned by Lynx deodorant, 2800 women from 14 countries ranging from the ages of 18-34 were asked what they like in men. It turns out that 80% of women would rather have a man who is capable of being "sensitive without losing his masculinity". Women it turns out, are not much into the sensitive new-age guy who is touch with his feminine side. They want a man who can light their fires and

This is a conservative forum and you are wondering why I think a man like Lebron James who to my knowledge has not married the mother of the two kids he fathered is not a real man.
not to mention James is pretty flawed otherwise as well
Good lord...if it’s like this here then imagine the rest of our culture.
I take exception to your post..for this reason.
Neither you nor I have any idea what goes on inside the James household. Why do you think he wont marry her? Why are you so sure she is not the holdout (as most reports locally state?)
My own son is the exact same story. His girlfriend of 4 years was pregnant with their child. She would NOT marry him.. and did not do so until Summer(the child) was over a year old. Why? Not sure she could exactly say other than the fact her parents had an exceptionally bad marriage.
from a biblical point of view you need to do some study of what marriage was like ...way back when.. and what was the defining “moment” of when man & woman became flesh.
I truly don’t feel a government certificate is a signal to God that “hey we are married” .. see God?
Our society has traditional ceremonies & the govt has state rules..I dont think any of these are God’s ways
God’s ways to me are the conservative ways
You can take all the exceptions you’d like.
I don’t agree with anything in that post.
Good luck.
You know looking back at the past comments on this tread I have to wonder..
Does FReeperland have a double standard?
why is it that women cannot drool over a man without being attacked by men for her choices.
I note on the babe threads that none of the SUPER CONSERVATIVE MEN who post the pix of scantily clad women are too concerned how conservative they are.
If one of the women here thinks Johnny Depp is a hottie, so be it! If I like LeBron James so be it. You are not going to shame me into a corner.
come on now... lighten up!
Navy SEALS....whew! What a gorgeous group photo.
My, my. Bless you.
Relax Dolly, men who are afraid of pictures are just showing their “metrosexual” side.
I think FReeper men say it about some of the guys too.
Check out this thread. I was ROFLOL!

“I think many boys under 40 or so have had way too much feminine influence in their lives from no daddies to no men in schools except coaches and just the nature of our culture.
There is a marked difference in young males today....it amazes me.
Just look at your average 35 year old educated good job husband:
at Home Depot he will carry the baby in a pouch bag and looks all pasty and gay while the woman does all the talking
same at a car dealer”
I see the same. The women in that age group have gotten mixed messages that they are “princesses” and that they can have it all in terms of career and family. The men seem to have accepted the position of having the woman make as much money or more than they do, thus taking the “bread winner” pressure off of them. In return, they are expected to do things like clean the house and take care of the children. But IMO, there seems to be something lacking in the male who goes along with this blurring of roles. It appears they have relinquished some of their “masculinity” in exchange for this “equality.” Feminism worked at building up the female, at the expense of the male. I remember my friend telling me that her son complained in grade school that all of the books they were reading in English class had strong female heroines...The liberal education system contributed to the present state of affairs.
FWIW...I have always like Johnny Depp too...he could borrow my eyeliner any day;)
Agree with you wholeheartedly. I can name some names if you all would like of some hottie actors... Carl Urban, Vin Deasel, Clive Owen.
you know what’s even more funny... my husband respects his acting ability more than i do.
Be still my heart!
Those men were quite handsome in the CURLING.
And for the real men on this thread, the ladies were pretty, too, or so my husband says.
There are many women out here who appreciate the “real men” in our lives. My male friend and my sons are greatly appreciated by both their wives and their mother.
Thank God for real men!
Don’t worry about how soft a guy’s hands are. I use cotton gloves when I work. I only lost one finger nail in four and a half years of working in a machine shop but at the moment I only have nine toe nails.
yes....I think only a serious war will reverse this.
God bless you.
It’s hard to fathom that late boomers like my Lynyrd Skynyrd generation are the last alpha males for now
it will come back...might be a while
Call me an incurable romantic, but I think a lot of women (including myself) go for the 19th century guys, at least as depicted in the novels. They were elegant, but masculine. They were polished without being too prettified.
Too masculine isn’t good. (Neither is too feminine.) It’s having a mascline framework with some feminine nuance.
As someone posted earlier, there’s “manly” and there’s “macho.” I would avoid the latter like the plague. Potential abuse there.
