The inaugural British Tea Party will take place on Saturday in my home town of Brighton, and Ill be speaking. Do try to come: here are the details.
Labour has raised more than a trillion pounds in additional taxation since 1997. Yet, unbelievably, Gordon Brown has still managed to run up a deficit of 12.6 per cent of GDP (Greeces is 12.7 per cent). A far lower level of taxation brought Americans out in spontaneous protest last year.

Members will wear kilts, and throw Belgian waffles into the Thames.

Sounds like the Brits are getting their cajones back. They were once a tough lot. I sure hope they come back.

Ha! Love it! Maybe they should call it ‘elevenses’......which is when we used to take our first ‘tea break’. They don’t tend to do ‘high tea’ anymore.

"British" tea parties? Hmmmmm, wasn't it his majesty's tea tax policy that we were dumping on?

Hmmm, if our British Cousins are starting a Tea Party (and good show for that)...
Then should we be drafting a Magna Carta?

I am going to spend a large part of this weekend pondering the irony of a British Tea Party Movement...

One commenter to the article asked, “Couldnt you make it a bit more British and call it the Afternoon Tea Party?”

It is important to remember that the FIRST Tea Partiers were British subjects who had reached the boiling point. Her Majesty would be wise to attend!

Maybe Prince William should attend as well. High taxes is enough to get anyone steamed.

‘Bout damn time!
Lest we forget (as has been already pointed out), the original Tea Partiers were British subjects.
It’s good to see the British bulldog showing his teeth again.
