Televised Meeting to talk about healthcare..........
Mine too, maggief, and I’m not quite sure why.
I like him sometimes.
I’ve run out of patience for the Dems. I can’t think of one Democrat with whom I disagree philosophically but who I can honestly say I respect!
OTOH the Republicans presented their position well today and represented us well. I think they did great work. Coburn, Ryan, Boehner, Cantor, and those I forgot to mention. Gives me a bit of hope.
Obama: Bipartisan health deal may not be possible

WASHINGTON After a day of debate and disagreement, President Barack Obama concluded Thursday's unprecedented live talkfest on health care with the bleak assessment that accord between Democrats and Republicans may not be possible. He rejected Republican preferences for starting over, discussing the issue much longer or taking a step-by-step solution.
Obama strongly suggested that Democrats will try to pass a sweeping overhaul without GOP support, by using controversial Senate budget rules that would disallow filibusters. And then, he said, this fall's elections would write the verdict on who was right.
"We cannot have another yearlong debate about this," Obama said at the end of a 7 1/2-hour marathon policy debate.
Neither side gave ground throughout, sticking mostly to familiar arguments and talking points. The president urged Republicans to "do a little soul searching" and said majority Democrats would decide quickly how to proceed on the issue that has eluded leaders for half a century.
THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.
are Obama’s letters on his sign larger than Biden’s. It so, that wasn’t necessary (re photo). The sign’s taller too - again, not necessary for a dumb dog and pony show.
I’m exhausted, what a DAY!
Still marveling at how MUCH of the meeting today was taken up by The One’s ramblings- endless, aimless ramblings.
Endless ramblings “signifying nothing”.....
Hey,...He Is the president
And didn't his wife "work" for a hospital?
BOO HOO HOO
its all the Republicans fault...
I love your words! After reading your comments, this thought occurred to me: I am thinking the Republicans prayed about the meeting. They were so prepared and all spoke wisely and forcefully and without hesitation and they were all on point. They were all on the same page and they’re all emphatic in that they refuse to tinker with the democrats’ bills. Clean start or do whatever the democrats will. That’s their stand and I am proud of them. ALL of them.
Blessings, my friend!!!
'You won, Barry!'
They had fellow republicans praying for them....
This ended up being exactly what we thought it would be, The Obama Show! He and the Democrats for 6 hours, and occasionally let a Republican have a few words, just for good theater.
WHAT A WASTE, WHAT A FREAKIN WASTE!
Bret Baier explains reconciliation.
LOTS of us, I think.
After Barack Obama became an Illinois state legislator, his wife moved up as well, scoring a job as ‘vice president of community relations’ at the University Of Chicago Hospital for a very generous salary of $121,910. When Obama became a senator in 2005, her ‘salary’ leapfrogged to $$316,962 for the same job...and one of Senator Obama’s first acts in office was to see to it that the hospital received over a million dollars of your tax dollars as an earmark.
And THAT is not a "waste."
I always confess to hating democrats and ask for prayers to help remove the hatred I have for them from my heart and he tells me it’s in my head and I agree and I say they have to change and we leave it at that. :)
