Well, she’s the highest ranking one anyway. Maxine Waters, Debby Wasserman-Schultz and Alan Grayson are all still as nutty as ever.

Agree 100%. The people who are actually watching are most likely pretty well informed. The intellectual weakness demonstrated by most Dems is mind boggling. The R’s actually know of what they speak.

I think the R’s are holding their own, and more. The only thing I would change is that I would have put copies of the 2400 page bill on each and every R desk, and have them peak around it to speak...and even offer the D’s extra copies (can you imagine a boatload of interns in the background ready to distribute those monsters?!)...

the audience watching that matters the most are House Democrats -- Blue Dogs + other vulnerable Democratic members. BO had to change the dynamic to give comfort and political cover to bring them on board. Doesn't sound as though he is succeeding.
The other message is that Obama is the one with the extended hand who is giving the Reps their day in court. And in the process, he gets to rebut every Rep speaker and then turn it over to a Dem to do likewise. The Dems have two-thirds of the time to make their case and to critique the Reps. It was a major mistake to get into this debate. There is no common ground on this bill.
