(CNN) -- The widow of an Internal Revenue Service employee killed when a disgruntled taxpayer flew his plane into a seven-story building in Austin, Texas, last week is suing the pilot's wife, according to court documents.

Valerie Hunter, the wife of Vernon Hunter, is accusing Sheryl Stack, wife of Andrew Joseph "Joe" Stack III, of negligence, alleging she she knew or should have known that her husband was a threat to others and, thus, could have prevented the attack, according to the lawsuit filed Monday in Travis County District Court.

Profiteering by the perpetrator; Stack’s wife is not the perpetrator.

So Stack’s wife is guilty for his actions? Remember, he burned down their house, which means the insurance company won’t pay a claim for the home due to arson. And life insurance doesn’t pay for suicides.

So, now the widow of a man Stack killed wants to make sure Stack’s widow will not only have no where to live, she wants to bankrupt Stack’s widow through having to hire lawyers to defend herself.

This morning on the local talk show Hunter’s widow’s lawyer called in. The guy sounds like a real scum bag. Reminds me why lawyers are so poorly thought of. He is nothing but an ambulance chaser.

Oh neat-oh, a new law suit! yeah! and after this case is over, there will be a new law named after her husband. It will become illegal to fly planes into buildings. I don't think there's a law for that yet is there?

Better yet, why doesn't she also sue the architect of the building? It's obvious the structure was not safe. It couldn't withstand a teeny tiny plane flying into it.

I hope she loses the case. The other wife (who also lost a husband)should counter sue because the dead husband worked for IRS. He should have known that it's a dangerous job and therefore should have picked a more people friendly job, such as pizza delivery.

Yeah, I hope she loses. Maybe it's time for her to get a real job instead of a quick buck and making another widow miserable. If she had any decency, she'd comfort that wife. But no, she want to place a money amount on her husband. Greedy little *itch.

"And, if Stack’s family stands to profit? Why should it not go to the victim’s family?"

Because Stack's family didn't commit the crime, Stack did.

Let's say Stack's daughter writes a book about living with a man whose life was bedeviled by the IRS. Can the victim's family then sue the daughter?

We have a long standing legal and social principle that says we don't visit the sins of the father on the son, or in this case, the daughter.

“he IRS guy did nothing wrong.”

The IRS itself is wrong. It is thugocracy at its worst.

Stack did what he did. No one else is to blame. His widow did not force him to make his decision to fly that plane into the building. He was a human being with free will. The responsibilities for his actions are his and his alone.

Where are his assets?

Of course not. People hire lawyers to help them around the maze of laws. Why shouldn’t she?

Her husband was killed by this maniac. Have you no mercy?

what does mercy have to do with a frivolous lawsuit?

Barry Green: Have you been in an accident? Have you witnessed an accident? Have you suffered psychological damage from hearing someone describe an accident he saw?
Hello, I’m Barry Green, of the law firm of Green & Fazio, here with another Litigation Myth.
Myth #4: You cannot file for an accident in which you were not involved. False.
We at Green & Fazio realize that when an accident occurs, it’s not just those involved who suffer. That’s why we’ve pioneered in whole new areas of accident litigation, including Bystander Trauma, Phantom Whiplash, and Near-Collision Stress Disorder. Why not come in for a free consultation and let us help you collect the money you didn’t even realize you were entitled to?

Maybe Stack should have flown his plane into a building housing a lawyers’ convention instead?

The jerk was starting phony churches because he hated that churches had exemptions. He lost $40,000 on that folly.

You like that!
