With national unemployment hovering around 10 percent and black male unemployment at a staggering 17.6 percent, it's just not true that undocumented workers are doing the jobs that we won't do.
In October 2008, amidst claims that one of its subsidiaries was knowingly hiring illegal immigrants, North Carolina poultry producer House of Raeford Farms initiated a systematic conversion of its workforce.
Following a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid that nabbed 300 undocumented workers at a Columbia Farms processing plant in Columbia, S.C., a spooked House of Raeford quietly began replacing immigrants with native-born labor at all of its plants. Less than a year later, House of Raefords flagship production line in Raeford, N.C., had been transformed, going from more than 80 percent Latino to 70 percent African-American, according to a report by the Charlotte Observer.
Under President George W. Bush, showy workplace raids like the one that befell Raeford were standardif widely despisedfare. And though the Obama administration has committed itself to dialing down the practice, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has occasionally found herself the bearer of bad news to immigration activists who expected the raids to end entirely under her watch.

For their efforts, African Americans were paid a median household income of $32,000 in 2007. In the same year, the median household income for illegal immigrants was $37,000.

This type of discussion has proved difficult in the past, however. Many of the black scholars dance around this hard issue, says Swain. They do their research in such a way that it doesnt address how immigration affects blacks. Theres a lot of pressure to say the politically correct thingthat immigrants arent hurting African Americans. Well, thats not true.

Who would have ever guessed that illegal immigrants got employment at the expense of the black and other disadvantaged in the US?
Imazing research here.
“Who would have ever guessed that illegal immigrants got employment at the expense of the black and other disadvantaged in the US?”
I tell you, I STILL don’t believe it.
LOL!!
Since when are blacks disadvantaged ? I find that a strongly repugnant statement. Blacks in this day and age have as much chance as anyone else. Some would say they have an advantage considering all the white guilt that surrounds our country today.
Hernandez guilty on all charges

II gives BA's excuses that they readily accept.
Given high expectations; BA's out-perform most.
With low expectations they under perform, like most.
If you don't expect much from BA's, you get what you get; as we have.
Blacks have the most to loose in the invasion of cheap labor from south of the border. New Orleans is an example. More and more brown people are moving in for construction jobs. The weather is hot like Mexico, the food is hot like Mexico, the police are corrupt, like Mexico. They feel right at home. The chocolate city is going brown.
From the article...
“For their efforts, African Americans were paid a median household income of $32,000 in 2007. In the same year, the median household income for illegal immigrants was $37,000.”
Doesn’t seem like cheap labor from the south. Seems the companies are willing to pay $5000 more a year for that cheap labor. Interesting.
That’s because you can easily threaten a non-legal resident with deportation. You’ll be willing to pay more for a person you can easily control mentally.
Terry Anderson has long talked about the problems in his black community of LA with illegal aliens.
And now, Harry Reid and the dems and few R’s are pushing this:

The Mexicans aren’t threatening lawsuits for minor stuff like looking at them the wrong way or getting worked up over a stray comment.
Mainly because they see this country for what it is, an opportunity soaked country. Jobs all over, chances all over, opportunities all over.

The overall findings of this poll show a significant divide between the perception that minority voters want legalization and increased legal immigration and the reality, which is that they want enforcement and less immigration
In contrast to the leadership of many ethnic advocacy groups, most members of minority groups think immigration is too high.
* Hispanics: 56 percent said it is too high; 7 percent said too low; 14 percent just right. * Asian-Americans: 57 percent said immigration is too high; 5 percent said too low; 18 percent just right. * African-Americans: 68 percent said it is too high; 4 percent said too low; 14 percent just right.
Most members of minority groups do not feel that illegal immigration is caused by limits on legal immigration as many ethnic advocacy groups argue; instead, members feel its due to a lack of enforcement.
* Hispanics: Just 20 percent said illegal immigration was caused by not letting in enough legal immigrants; 61 percent said inadequate enforcement. * Asian-Americans: 19 percent said not enough legal immigration; 69 percent said inadequate enforcement. * African-Americans: 16 percent said not enough legal immigration; 70 percent said inadequate enforcement.
Most members of minority groups feel that there are plenty of Americans available to fill unskilled jobs.
