My son was a submariner. doesnt sound like a good idea.
The article says they're deployed for around 7 mos. I don't know how anyone can stand that. Do they get any breaks at all to get Vitamin D and sunshine in their systems? I think I'd rather be in the desert!....maybe.

Hear the one about the gay whale who attacked a submarine?
He grabbed onto the end of the boat and sucked the seamen out.

So one month into a deployment, under the ice, she has an ectopic pregnancy.

I DO NOT agree with placing women on our submarines.
I’m a thirty year throw back, since I’ve never been a supporter of women in the military.
That’s my take on it, and I haven’t morphed it over time. I’m sure many people disagree with me.
That being said, I respect women for having served just as much as I do the men, but if I had my druthers, women would be out.

For what it’s worth, I agree with you completely.

The navy term “hot bunking” will take on an entirely new meaning.

As a retired Navy CPO with 26 years of service, albeit many years ago,I have asked myself the following question many times.
How does having women at sea manning a combat vessel improve the combat efficiency,or the good order and discipline,of that vessel?
I know the answer, but all I ever heard from the powers that be was the chirping of crickets. Just my humble opinion.
BTW the answer is...it doesn't.

I also agree with you. I cannot think of one instance where having women in the military has enhanced our capabilities

The Navy is mixing gasoline (young men) and dynamite (young women) all while declaring that they have a strong policy against sparks (sex). Good luck, but we already know the outcome!

Report fails to mention that only butt ugly chicks and bull dykes will be allowed in submarines. Geez, that sure doesn't paint a good recruiting poster.
