They are saying it is “Not terrorism” when it sounds precisely like that to me.

The only thing thats terrorism to the current regime is a Teaparty person confronting an elected official with a homemade sign...

I agree. And we probably both know why they don’t.

Sadly, you are spot on.

Brian of Fox & Friends was firing questions at the press officer this morning...he asked what the “alleged car thieves” looked like. The guy would not answer.

They turned the Ft Hood shooter over to the local police, too. Remember, it’s not terrorism, just garden variety crime under Bambi’s new rules. Bambi doesn’t believe there’s such a thing as Islamic terrorism.

The difference between crime and terrorism is that terrorism is meant to impose or promote an ideology through instilling terror, while crime has a personal motive (gain, revenge, etc.). The nut who flew into the IRS bldg was not a terrorist, because he was acting out of a grudge against the IRS (and George Bush!) and not trying to promote an ideology. But the Ft Hood Muslim shooter was certainly trying to promote an ideology, and hence was a terrorist and shouldn’t have been in a local jail.

We shall see how this one turns out, but I honestly can’t imagine a couple of drunk car thieves trying to attack police on a military base.

I thought the Air Force cops were called, “Security Police?”

Anyhow, those boys and girls know how to shoot.

witholding a physical description or a name of suspects or those killed, generally, in my book, in this Obama Environment, raises all kinds of red flags immediately--when it comes to a US military or otherwise high security area perimeter being breached and resulting in death(s). especially in the case if the crime was more than something like seven or eight hours ago (as I understand, around 11:30 p.m. local last night)......

I just caught the interview with an Air Force Captain from base security. He says 2 car thieves tried to evade police by dodging onto the base. Security responded, set up a roadblock to stop them, and when they attempted to run that roadblock, base police opened fire and stopped them permanently.

Tragic for the officers who will have to go through an anal exam for doing their duty, and completely avoidable because the driver made the choice about how this would end.

Here in Portland, OR the locals are tearing the Portland Police apart over a shooting a couple of weeks ago. A young black man who was distraught over the death of his brother, was talking about having a gun on his person, did not follow police instructions and in a very confusing and fast moving incident, made the wrong move and a police sniper dropped him. We had Jesse Jackson in town last week stirring things up and the situation continues to simmer.

The bottom line here is if you challenge a duly sworn Officer of the Law, he has the authority to protect himself and the public. They have the authority to use firearms, and only an idiot or someone who is committing suicide by Cop does not do what they are told with a gun pointed at them. Only in the movies do the bad guys run police road blocks, and in this case it was DOD Police protecting a National Defense facility, and they were in no mood to let this guy play games.

Job well done in my view.

“Bambi doesn’t believe there’s such a thing as Islamic terrorism.”

Silly me. I forgot! :)

It’s another “nothing to see here, move along” moment.

Our troops deserve leadership and instead they get Three Stooge policy at every turn.

God Bless and keep our brave Troops.

There was a local news report on another, unrelated crime yesterday morning.

The news chick says that the perps were driving a late-model beige sedan, one was wearing a flannel blue shirt and one was wearing a camo vest, they appeared to be 20 - 30 years of age, and were of slight build.

Apparently no one noticed whether they were black, white, yellow or red.

Because it just happened and if they are minors, which if they are latino gangbangers they likely would be, they have to notify the families first.

If the local police are handling the investigation than their public information officer should be ready for questions.

I suspect the conversation went more like this:

"Hawwāmtī mumtil'ah bi'anqalaysūn" (My hovercraft is full of eels)

"Shukran jazīlan. Uħibbak!" (Great, thank you... and I love you, man.)

"Nād ash-shariṭah!" (Oh no! The police!)

Both together: "Allah Akbah!" (We have bombs and intend to detonate them together to kill Americans because we are a queer Arabic couple who cannot stand anything normal or good and we screw camels and our women are so ugly we turned gay.)

Damn Straight! “So move along people, no terrorism to see here, just a couple of car thieves on the run who ran into overwhelming incoming rounds....” :-)

I’m glad it wasn’t the security policeman (SP) who was killed.
