I just want to warn folks that McCain is going to go scorched earth on JD... The contrast in tone between this race and the last one will be amusing.

This is sounding more and more like "damning with faint praise"... I think you may have something there.

I heard Michael Medved just slamming JD Hayworth and extolling the imaginary virtues of McCain last week. Medved is a rank liar.

McNuts must be really hurting, election wise, for him to come out with this drivel! IMHO, getting involved, by leaving the campaign trail and voting “FOR” TARP, cost him the presidency. I held my nose!

What is Sarah Palin supposed to say-that McCain is a disreputable RINO douchebag that is devoid of sound judgment and was a poor presidential candidate?
Hey you know it and I know it but if Sarah said she would be crucified by the MSM from coast to coast claiming she was an ingrate for the maverick having plucked her out of the Alaskan wilderness to be his VP.
Even if I were not a Palin supporter, in other words if Romney had been the VP pick instead of Palin and he said the same things about McCain I would back him as well.
Loyalty is important to me. If it isn’t to you then go join the Democrats where they worship at the altar of expediency.

Well John, if you’re still a credulous fool after all these decades in Washington, you’re really doing your country a service by being retired from office.

I'm willing to give him a pass on the Keating Five; there wasn't any evidence that he did anything out of the ordinary in the process of checking out a constituents claim about regulatory abuse.
But then add in the problem of being against the Bush II tax cuts to keep the list at 5.

You weren’t responding to me, techno, but someone else; however I would like to point out that your logic is faulty.
Which is a better moral trait to possess? Loyalty to a compromiser, loyalty to someone who votes against basic conservative principles, loyalty to someone who has voted for spending bills that are bankrupting this country?
Or is a better moral quality someone who adheres to THE TRUTH and THE LAW, despite the negative consequences from other compromisers in the media and government?
It’s just because the Republican Party has thought with your logic for so many years that they lost all three branches of government to socialists.

“McCain: I was misled on bailout”
And in turn, you misled us, john?
No. We KNEW it was bad from the gitgo. And so did you. But that didn’t stop you from voting for it, did it?
You made your bed. Now sleep with the scorpions you befriended.

A thought occurs: we should be glad McCain brought up the bailout. The media and their overseers have been pounding SO HARD on how Porkulus saved our financial system that they have almost succeeded in erasing the takeover of the banking industry from the public mind. If it was Porkulus that saved the financial system from a catastrophic crisis of uberdisastrous proportions, then the bailout was a miserable failure and we would like to know where the damned money is.
