Hampstead, MD (February 18, 2010) - In his latest Catholic News Agency column, Louie Verrecchio says that even in his youth he recognized that there is something more to the Olympics than just mere competition as the games always seem to communicate something far bigger. Vancouver 2010 is no different according to Verrecchio, and the message coming from the mens figure skating competition is that boys will be girls and girls will be boys, and if you buy into all the hype, its positively delightful! I have to tell you, Verrecchio writes, I for one am not even close to being delighted with what Im seeing. In a column that is sure to stir the passions of his readers both pro and con, Verrecchio points to what he called an unspoken competition-within-the-competition in which many of the male figure skaters seem to be trying be it through make-up, hair-dos, mannerisms or costumes - to out gender-bend the next guy. Back in the day it seemed like breakthroughs in the sport were measured in terms of acrobatics, but now they seem to be measured in terms of histrionics as these grown men prance about like little drama queens determined to take flamboyance to here-to-fore unseen heights,

Even the television commentators seem less than comfortable with it, according to Verrecchio, but they dutifully force feigned laughter and try their best to put a positive spin on the clearly bizarre as they labor to convince themselves as much as anyone else; isnt this wonderful!
Though its difficult to take a man in chiffon seriously - make no mistake about it - something very serious is going on here and you better be paying attention, Verrecchio warns as he identifies the current state of mens figure skating as part of a deliberate attempt to feminize boys in todays world.
Lets face it, the current popular culture is determined to promote the view that the Creator-given characteristics that define us as male and female are little more than shackles that limit us; imposed as they are by a society that is inherently unfair, he writes.
Ours is a world in which little boys are all-too-often trained in the ways of liberal feminism; a place where big boys not only cry but are praised for their sensitivity. Many of our schools have even capitulated by replacing recess and the natural competition that should be expected among little men-in-training in favor of everyone wins activities that require no sweat.
As for all that natural male aggressiveness, Verrecchio writes, No longer is it guided toward its good and useful application; rather, its treated with Ritalin and deprogrammed away.
And what do we have to show for it, he asks?
A metro-sexual class of soft-bellied males who are inept at taking charge and making decisions, yet are strangely proficient at plucking their own eyebrows in traffic as they head to their 4 oclock pedi.
If I had had a young son sitting next to me watching the Olympics, Verrecchio concludes with advice to other parents, you can bet he wouldnt be left to witness the charade of mens figure skating without some much needed observations from his dear ol Neanderthal Dad.
This is silliness; if men’s figure skating is trying to feminize little boys, it’s not doing a very good job since BOYS DON’T WATCH FIGURE SKATING.
Parents of boys with testosterone need not fear men’s figure skating. At least in my opinion...
I refuse to watch male figure skating generally but if someone has a short Youtube clip illustrating the latest estrogenized Rahm-boys I’ll check it to see what we’re up against.
I blame “Blades of Glory”.
After looking at the weirdo danced, I can see why she shared her room / space with "him." ROFL :)
He probably does her hair as she complains about being hit on by the Finnish Hockey Team.

I am back in college at an advanced age. Could someone please explain to me why a man who thinks he is a woman isn’t delusional? I would ask my psychology professor, but he is a man that thinks he is a woman.
Looking at these FREAKS in the slideshow makes me glad I haven't watched a single minute of any of the "QUEERLYMPICS"
we had a figure skater try out for JV hockey in HS back in the 70s. Did not last 2 practices b/c he did not do what was needed to be done
real men wear hockey skates just. that. simple.
I think Vancouver has always been into gender bending, so, maybe it is the influence of the area?
I was reading an article today that was complaining about the pussification of the Winter Olympics, and used the Biathalon as a good example.
In order to improve the Sport, instead of fancy skis and high-target rifles, the rules should be changed to specify snowshoes and muskets.
Got my vote...
I think you made a mistake and got the clips of last year’s Gay Pride Parade in San Francisco.
