"Bring It! I Love It!" CPAC Speaker Gets Booed For Condemning CPAC For Inviting Gay Organization
Video from Cpac ^ | 2-19-10

Posted on 02/19/2010 5:51:20 PM PST by icwhatudo

The speaker, Ryan Sorba, was introduced to talk about his experiences with the ACORN investigation. Before he could even say a word the boos started from the assorted gay activists in the crowd. (Sorba is a frequent critic of the homosexual lifestyle).

Note that only AFTER the boos began did Sorba change the subject to condemning CPAC for inviting GOProud to CPAC.

He became flustered as any young man in such a situation would be on national TV, at a supposedly "conservative" event, being booed by homosexual activists...but his response that "Lesbians at Smith college protest better than you do" was pretty funny.

“I agree with you 100%. There is, however, a difference between a broad policy of advancing individual freedom, including on the issues you list above, and being opposed to “the homosexual lifestyle” as many conservatives are.”

I’m opposed to the homosexual lifestyle. I’m also opposed to adultery and fornication. Does that mean I want to round up and imprison homosexuals, adulterers, and fornicators? No. It does not.

It’s quite possible to “oppose” a behavior without wanting to outlaw it or punish those who practice it. There is nothing immoral or wrong about opposing the homosexual lifestyle. In fact, that’s the moral position.

You are so wrong, wrong, wrong. We should invite CONSERVATIVES into the movement. If they choose to reveal their sexual proclivities, they do so at their own risk. No Republican anywhere is talking about "burning gays at the stake." We are talking about prohibiting gays from denying us our right to peacefully reject open homosexuality in our societies.

Small government and liberty BY DEFINITION make a person's private sexual choices between consenting adults ALTOGETHER IRRELEVANT. You want to give them relevance and bolster the ridiculous notion that those of us who understand that they are and MUST REMAIN irrelevant are somehow connected to "hate." It is bullsh*t, and you need to stop where you are and rethink your take on it.

A dissident faction of gay conservatives is launching a rival group to the traditional voice of gay Republicans, the Log Cabin Republicans.

GOPROUD, the new 527 group, will launch next week, according to a media advisory. The contact given for the group is Christopher Barron, a former Log Cabin political director who broke with the group.

“Essentially, there’s no voice for gay Republicans or gay conservatives in particular in D.C. right now. Log Cabin has been completely and totally absent here in D.C. for months and months,” Barron said.“It has simply moved way too far from the left and is basically indistinguishable from any other gay left organization.”

The ideological battle has been playing out in the gay media and on some blogs for a while, spurred in part by the Blade’s revelation that the Log Cabin Republicans’ biggest backer is a prominent Democrat, Tim Gill. Their complaint, in general, is that Log Cabin has grown indistinguishable from left-leaning gay rights groups.

The blog GayPatriot has been making the case for a split, and arguing that gay rights groups should make the case for same-sex marriage to a broader political spectrum.

‘To hell with Meghan McCain! To hell with HOMOPAC!’

To Hell with all the McCains and all the RINOS. We need to re-infiltrate the GOP and kick out the “C” Packers and RINOS.
Take it back! and Take our country back!

GOProud is mocking National Organization for Marriage at CPAC...

Time.com - bigger crowds at our booth than at NOM’s http://bit.ly/dlCgqR looks like we’re the ones sending them a message! #cpac10 #homocon

From Time.com - NOM...kept casting nervous –and slightly envious– glances at the somewhat larger crowd surrounding GOProud’s booth. #CPAC10

If they believe in a strong military, they wouldn’t be promoting homosexuals in the military. If they want less government, they would not promote the homosexual agenda in any way, shape or form.

They’re disgusting. If the homosexual agenda lobby gets their claws into the GOP, then Repubs will lose BIG in all elections.

I assume that’s what the various homosexual “conservative” lobbyists want.

Sarah Palin was wise for skipping CPAC for a number of reasons:
1. David Keane is a snake and a prominent Romney backer
2. CPAC has become less about conservatism and more of a social event for Beltway and East Coast Republicans
3. Romney has won the straw poll the last two years and is likely to again this year
4. Palin’s support comes from the grass roots; for the most part CPAC attendees are organizational Republicans

He was also national political director for the George HW Bush campaign in 1980, against Ronald Reagan.

I agree 100% that it’s irrelevant. That doesn’t mean that our image projects that like it should though. Take this comment I got:

“I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t invite drug addicts or polygamists into the Republican Party any more than unrepentant sodomites. I want my kids to grow up with clear values and not think that its normal or healthy for a man to find erotic stimulation with the fecal waste organ of another man. To me it’s common sense.”

I was responding to that line of thinking—I’m saying that we need to let gays know that we really don’t care, but I don’t think they’re going to pick up on it if we don’t say anything at all. Then the only voice heard will be the one I quoted. He can say that all day. But if he’s the only “conservative” speaking, he’s making the rest of us look like him. See what I mean?

Yeah a year or so ago she ran a column or two trying to convince her Christian readers that Mormons are just another denomination of Christianity. Why on earth would she want... to... hey wait a sec, isn’t Romney a Mormon?
