The Iraqi Defense minister was right. The dog barks but doesn’t bite.
Not our soldier’s faults, of course - It’s leadership. Our military is the most capable in the history of mankind, and yet it’s turning into the weakest at the same time.
I hope field command is ignoring orders and moving forward with a strong presence - While reporting upwards that everything is “by the book”.
It should be noted as well: The enemy operates “By the book”.. And their book tells them to eliminate infidels, abuse women, and conquer the world without mercy.
When I first read your excerpts, I thought this must be a satire, then I clicked on the link and saw it’s a genuine news article.
It’s nothing less than shocking. Are we trying to defeat the enemy or not? Clearly the Obamam ROE are set to protect the enemy, not our troops. If a terrorist drops his weapon, suddenly he is a “civilian” that we should just let go, so he can pick up his weapon and kill our troops five minutes later.
I’m buying stock in “Comfy Chairs”.
For some reason the link the dailyme doesn’t seem to be working, but here is the link to the orginal Los Angeles Times article (same title):
In Afghanistan, Marines handling detainees by the book

This is the fault of one of the most INEPT administrations in the history of this nation!
I bet that the Marines have to Mirandize them (or have an on-site FBI agent do that. From what I heard, there are a lot of FBI agents in Afghanistan.)
Book’em Danno......
Arrest? WTF?
They are the enemy! The enemy is captured if he is not killed first! Krap!
The only correct way to handle them is not to take them alive in the first place, or failing that, to shoot them dead while they’re trying to escape. Thanks Ed25.
Political correctness kills.
