Former Rep. Thomas M. Davis III, the architect of previous Republican campaign successes, says outer-suburban voters eager to place a check on President Obama and Democrats are swinging back to the GOP and will power a Republican resurgence in New England, while aiding GOP "tsunamis" in Virginia, Colorado and Iowa.
Mr. Davis, the current president of the Republican Main Street Partnership, a group of the party's more moderate lawmakers, told reporters Wednesday that the GOP has had its best-ever year of recruiting candidates for congressional elections, which has helped put so many seats into play.
He said Democrats are having a tough time reaching a balance of keeping regular voters happy while also appeasing the liberal voters who surged to the polls in the 2008 election.
"Those are the problems Democrats have coming in. The surge voters right now, they're asleep. And the outer suburbs, the South, the mountain states, I think you can look for Republican tsunamis," Mr. Davis said. "You're going to have big years."
A sign of how bad Republican fortunes have been the past two elections is their ouster from New England, where the GOP no longer holds any House seats. But Mr. Davis said Republicans will capture seats there this year, including both New Hampshire districts.

I hope you’re right but I have lost faith in the majority of the American people.
Tom Davis’s Main Street Partnership is a leftist front group. Thanks to them (and Jorge Bush), the Republican Congress of the Bush years gave us bigger government, choking regulations, and the complete dissolution of the Republican branding that led to the Obamafascist takeover.
Damn you to Hell, Tom. There you can work for your true Master.
Tried it. Didn’t work.
Seniors and baby boomers have no clueOh brother. Take a look at the people and faces showing up at the townhall meetings and the tea parties. It wasn't you numbskulls that started this wave. In fact I dare say it is the younger generation (you?) that propelled a no-nothing Obama into the White House that started this mess....
“I predict 15 senate seat pickups, 8 governor seat pickups and 100+ House seat pickups this November. It’s going to be good and since I don’t eat popcorn, I’ll have my peanuts ready.”
Sounds kind of optimistic, but I hope you’re right. Also, and more importantly, these pickups need to be TRUE conservatives so we don’t have a re-run of past disappointments after these people start to govern.
This time, the traitorous, sabotaging, quisling, kapo GOP isn't asked to the dance. The Tea Party motto boils down to: "Get Er Done."
That is exactly how I see it.
Yet here in Illinois one has applied. I and many others do not vote for a person just because he/she has an "R" behind their names and I will not vote for Kirk.
What’s “IMDB”?
Sounds like the place is infested with libs.
internet movie data base.....big message boards for film talk but I’d wager 95% KOS types and young
rabidly anti Palin...never on substance just personal vitriol
they purge all posts not supportive of homosexual agenda...yep....i get purged a bit
I just do it sometimes for the heck of it....it’s not a serious place like here
BTTT. Nice to see Tom Davis still involved in this way.
It wouldn't be an exagerration to say that 20% of the posters on IMDB are gay, with at least an additional 40% being fag hags.
Have you considered running for precinct captain in the primaries? You might not even have anyone running against you, and hence no opposition research There are lots of open slots all over the USA. It only takes 10 signatures here in Missouri to get on the ballot.
Only the ELECTED precinct captains get to vote for the party leadership. Precincts often vote for the person endorsed by the precinct captains. You would also get to have input on the party platform.
It would only take about 3 hours per month to do your job. It would be a great way to take over the Republican party, if the empty slots could all be filled by conservatives this year, and combined with the conservatives already active, it would go a long ways toward helping conservative candidates against the established Rinos.
A interesting thing about the 2006 election, many of the successful dems ran as fiscal conservatives when compared to the Rino Republicans they ran against. At least that is what I read at the time.
"Change the channel and I'll break your wrist."
"What the F is a Tea Party?!" ....zzzzzzz.
I get excoriatde there by the fags and other maniacs.
I pray to God IMDB is not indicative of our youth.
It is amazingly politically correct....the new religion as nilly as church lady ever was.
It's worse than you think. I was lectured by a YR on Facebook last Thanksgiving that the reason we should say "Happy Holiday" is that Thanksgiving is offensive to the Injuns. Well, I informed this reality show-drugged jellyfish if that was indeed the case (it isn't, as most Indians celebrate Thanksgiving), then why wish any sort of "Happy Holiday" at all?
my nine year old’s teacher plays that silliness
she is a fat white woman married to an activist black Crow tribe member...she’s a real crusader-missionary sort about all things PC...fortunately he has two teachers and the other is cool as is the principal
you should have heard her howl when he asked why they can call that guy the “Christmas Day Bomber”
lol
