Obama Espoused Radical Views in College [advocated communist revolution!]
Steve Malzberg - WOR News Talk Radio 710 ^ | February 12, 2010 | Ronald Kessler

Dr. John C. Drew, a grant writing consultant in Laguna Niguel, Calif., tells Newsmax he met Obama in 1980 when Obama was a sophomore at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Drew had just graduated from Occidental and was attending graduate school at Cornell University.
During Christmas break, Drew says he was at Grauman-Boss home in Palo Alto when Obama came over with Mohammed Hasan Chandoo, his roommate from Pakistan.
Barack [Obama] and Hasan showed up at the house in a BMW, and then we went to a restaurant together, Drew says. We had a nice meal, and then we came back to the house and smoked cigarettes and drank and argued politics.
For the next several hours, they discussed Marxism.
He [Obama] was arguing a straightforward Marxist-Leninist class-struggle point of view, which anticipated that there would be a revolution of the working class, led by revolutionaries, who would overthrow the capitalist system and institute a new socialist government that would redistribute the wealth, says Drew, who says he himself was then a Marxist.
The idea was basically that wealthy people were exploiting others, Drew says. That this was the secret of their wealth, that they werent paying others enough for their work, and they were using and taking advantage of other people. He was convinced that a revolution would take place, and it would be a good thing.
Drew concluded that Obama thought of himself as part of an intelligent, radical vanguard that was leading the way towards this revolution and towards this new society. ...”
Referring to Obamas quote from Dreams of My Father that he associated with Marxist professors, Drew says, What hes not saying is that he was in 100 percent total agreement with those Marxist professors. When you understand that, Obamas later associations and policies make more sense, including why he was taken in by Rev. Wrights ideology.

From the website of the Communist Party, USA...
(prior to the election)
"The Communist Party USA views the 2008 elections as a tremendous opportunity to defeat the policies of the right-wing Republicans and to move our country in a new progressive direction.
The record turnout in the Democratic Presidential primary races shows that millions of voters, including millions of new voters, are using this election to bring about real change. We wholeheartedly agree with them."

After the election....
A Landslide Mandate For Change
A breakthrough election
Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!
We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-peoples movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all peoples movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.
The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and peoples unity.
There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.
The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

July 1, 2009...
Change is Here, Change is Coming
Sam Webb, National Chair, Communist Party, USA:
Let me begin with a simple observation: If the last 30 years were an era of reaction, then the coming decade could turn into an era of reform, even radical reform. Six months into the Obama presidency, I would say without hesitation that the landscape, atmosphere, conversation, and agenda have strikingly changed compared to the previous eight years.
In this legislative session, we can envision winning a Medicare-like public option and then going further in the years ahead.
We can visualize passing tough regulatory reforms on the financial industry, which brought the economy to ruin.
We can imagine the troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan while U.S. representatives participate in a regional process that brings peace and stability to the entire region.
In the current political climate, the expansion of union rights becomes a real possibility.
Much the same can be said about winning a second stimulus bill, and we sure need one, given the still-rising rate, and likely long term persistence, of unemployment.
Isnt it possible in the Obama era to create millions of green jobs in manufacturing and other sectors of the economy in tandem with an attack on global warming?
Cant we envision taking new strides in the long journey for racial and gender equality in this new era, marked at its beginning by the election of the first African American to the presidency?
And isnt the overhaul of the criminal justice and prison system a system steeped in racism no longer pie-in-the sky, but something that can be done in the foreseeable future?
All these things are within reach now!

Well he was right when predicting “there would be a revolution of the working class”
There called tax payers
I understand what you mean, but we the civil people, producers in this nation are not rebelling or the image behind a revolution... We the people are taking a stand against a bunch of revolutionaries that intend on destroying this nation by hook or crook erasing the middle class.
No surprise there, the current incarnation of obama is also (still) Pure Marxist Socialist. His handlers and the lamestream media propaganda machine don't even try to deny it anymore.

We don't know these people from beans, and so far, other than a couple of people at Harvard, we have yet to hear from anyone who even knew him, to say nothing of what he believed.
Believe, but verify. Where are the records, yearbook, pictures, etc?
And where were these people during the election, and we are supposed to be surprised....unbelievable. Evidently they thought he would invite them to WH? HA!
Thomas Jefferson warned that “The Enemy Within the Gates is a Thousand Fold More Dangerous than those Outside the Gates!” OBOZO is planted inside “THE WHITE HOUSE with the Keys to Everything!” May Our Wonderful GOD SAVE US FROM THE ENEMY!”
Sounds like an exact quote from his Tirade with Joe the Plumber, taking from the Producers to give to the Bums!
I can’t believe there are no stories about him from his fellow classmates from college. That is a very formative time in one’s life. No dates, no parties, no demonstrations from the One? If i would’ve been a friend of a President, I wouldn’t be shy about it. Who is this guy?

Who Is President Obama? Thoughts on Recent News Regarding His Marxist College Days
John C. Drew
Why has my 15 minutes of fame kicked in now...and not in September 2008? A couple of reasons come to mind:
1. Increased Social Media Visibility: I think part of the difference now is that I have access to websites like ResistNet. I’m also active on Twitter. Augustine 25, for example, has about 47,500 followers. I’ve also got a blog, The Anonymous Political Scientist, which has had over 4,900 hits - over 500 in the last 48 hours.
2. Increased Plausibility: It’s more plausible now that Obama really is a socialist. We’ve seen him in action with cap and trade, fighting for the public option in health care, and engaging in a job destroying stimulus package.
3. Increased Interest in Barack Obama: Now BarackObama is President, people want to know all about him. In this context, his thoughts as a college sophomore are suddenly more relevant simply because he has been elected our President. As a candidate, Obama’s college days were not as newsworthy.
4. Scott Brown’s Historic Victory: It may be that journalists are comfortable being more aggressive with this story line because of Scott Brown’s victory in MA. After all, my entry into this debate was initially only as a cheerleader encouraging folks like Ronald Kessler to keep pursuing the story that Obama is a socialist ideologue and not really a centrist.
5. Increased Credibility for John C. Drew, Ph.D.: Finally, it may be that I inadvertantly increased my own credibility when I posted my old Williams College ID Card on the Anonymous Political Science website on January 23, 2010. This was tangible evidence I was a “professor” and it gave journalists like Ronald Kessler more confidence to look into my story.
At any rate, I’ll be curious to hear your feedback. My gut feeling is that the environment changed, and that my behavior had little to do with this increased visibility. I’ve placed news stories before. Nevertheless, it has been a puzzle for me to figure out how to penetrate the modern mainstream media with my story. My new (old) theory is that people like to read articles that confirm their own beliefs and impressions. A lot of people have already concluded that Obama is a Marxist socialist who is anxious to redistribute the wealth. In this context, my little story seems a lot more interesting today than it was in the fall of 2008.
