Sen. Gregg: Obama Bankrupting Nation, American People Face 'Horrific' Future
Tuesday, February 16, 2010 | Kristinn

Using his strongest language to date, Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH) continued to sound the alarm about the dangers Barack Obama's budget policies pose to the fate of the nation in a speech given today to the New England Council in Bedford, New Hampshire.

The Ranking Member on the Senate Budget Committee has been speaking out in very stark terms about the effects Obama's trillion dollar deficits and out of this world spending will have on the near and long term future of the American people.

The Union Leader quoted Gregg as saying Obama's fiscal policies will lead to bankruptcy for the nation.

Gregg took aim at the President's $3.83 trillion proposed budget, which the Senator claimed would lead to economic disaster.

"We are right now, unquestionably, on a financial course which is unsustainable, which If we continue on this course, will lead our nation into some level of fiscal bankruptcy."

The AP quoted Gregg as saying Obama's policies will likely cause a "horrific event."

"The threat is that five to seven years from now we're going to have to substantively devalue the dollar, creating an inflationary event which would be a horrific event for the American people ... or alternatively, we will have to raise taxes so dramatically to catch our tail here on the spending side that we will basically crush productivity."

Gregg used slightly less alarmist language when he wrote in Investors Business Daily in June 2009 of his concerns about the ruinous debt Obama was planning for the nation.

Right now we are on a perilous and unsustainable fiscal course, which, if left unchecked, will lead to some disastrous results — devaluation of the dollar, massive inflation and a confiscatory tax rate on our children that will destroy any hope for the same economic opportunities and lifestyle that we have enjoyed.

Gregg's proposal for a bi-partisan Congressional committee on debt reduction was recently waylaid by partisan brinksmanship.

Gregg is retiring at the end of the 111th Congress after serving three terms as senator.

Yep. He didn’t realize it during the Bush years. I’m no fan of Obama, but people who live in glass houses sure shouldn’t throw stones. The GOP has been just as bad as the Dems about the money. Time to lay off the blame game and address the problems, which BTW, I think are already to the point where they can’t be addressed. The gov’t will be forced to print money and I don’t see any way around it.

It is being done this way, because if they came in militarily with guns, then we could charge them with treason and execute them according to the Constitution. So, it is through the political back door instead of with a bomb strapped to their underwear.

Think about how this was thought out, as the zero was a Constitutional law professor raised with what religion?, from age 5-11 in Indonesia? An American ExPat in Southeast Asia at http://laotze.com hit the nail on the head with his research.

I am with you. They are all big on talk; but I don’t see any one of them stopping it.

Just wait until the gross devaluation of the dollar hits the boomer retirees and they no longer can afford to retire or stay retired. Perhaps this is how they will the solve social security crisis. The amount payable stays frozen, cost of living increases cease and the purchasing power of the money is now worthless.

The really elderly will be up the creek when they haven’t enough in their fixed check to survive and have no other options. Guess the “death panels” will help with that problem.

Impeachment would be a good ending, but blocking Obama's ruinous agenda would be a great beginning.

I would live to see Chewbaka and her mother have to leave the White House from one of the back exits.

I wonder what he is willing to do, also.

I would like to see him run for one more term in order to use his power to STOP Bamy.

Sadly, it is too late. I lay awake at night worrying about my children’s future.

We should never forget Obama and the Democrats. Once the economy collapses, we need to hold these traitors accountable.

Planned economic destruction of the USA follows the classic Marxist Cloward-Piven strategy: Here and from Danae Here

Cloward and Piven outlined their theories in the 60’s. One of my favorite quotes from them: "And as Cloward and Piven made clear, the true purpose is not even to help those groups, (welfare, voting, housing and immigration) but rather to duplicitously enlist them as part of an offensive to collapse our society from within!" Great . .

"The 'Cloward-Piven Strategy' seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse." Sound familiar? . .

Alinsky: "The system's failure to "live up" to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist "rule book" with a socialist one."

. . and the topper: "To achieve their revolutionary change, Cloward and Piven sought to use a cadre of aggressive organizers helped by friendly news media to force a re-distribution of the nation's wealth." Gee, I thought he was just a community organizer. . . uh, er, No, now he’s the Organizer POTUS!

Soo, do we just sit by and watch the deliberate destruction of our beloved Republic?

The object of the obama admin. is obvious, as you say, total financial ruin. It is intentional.
Also, total confiscation of people's money, homes, wealth, property...
The government can only confiscate so much, after that ? then what ? mandatory government euthanization of humans ? ......

The only way this lunacy can be stopped is to clean out Congress.... why else are permanent fixtures so willing to leave their so called seat of public service. They are seeking to keep their names off roll call when BamKennedy hits bottom.

It is not hyperbole to call what Congress and the President are doing, treason.

Absolutely true!!! I think the U.S. used to try men & hang them for treason at some distant past in our history....Hmmmmm!

I have to say this, that Sen Judd Gregg has been a fervent passionate critic of 0bozo ever since his eyes were opened and he flatly turned down the position as Commerce Secretary. I am not defending any of his RINO positions, but it may be that as a perceived moderate by the press and as the "Ranking Member on the Senate Budget Committee", that when Sen Gregg sounds this type of apocalyptic warning against 0bozo's fiscal devastation, that his words will carry tremendous weight. And hopefully the rest of the Repubs will continue to hammer away at 0bozo on this, until we finally arrest his sorry kenyan commie pig ass, and throw him & his entire administration straight into prison for high crimes & treason against the U.S.

" There's one way to bring the USA back: bring back the US$15 TRILLION in American-owned liquid assets now sitting in offshore financial centers "
American - Owned ( liquid assets i.e. OIL ) now sitting off our coast ready for drilling...
Does that sound better ?
