Lautenberg in hospital...breaking
Brett Schundler is a better choice.
Kennedy and Murtha warming up a seat for Frank Lautenberg at the Hell Acres Retirement Home for Dirtbags Canasta Tournament.

You are bad festusbanjo................and I love it.
Republican governor to appoint a replacement should Lautenberg retire (again). Just as long as Whitman is not the appointee.
Having lost Corzine, NJ liberals couldn’t stand it to lose another of their popular heroes so soon.
Watching the old fossil exit would be sweet but Id rather it be through traditional means.”
Anywhere else than politics, almost everyone would have been
traditionally retired a long time ago.
Politics has doddering old fools in charge.
Yeah I forgot for a few. I had a Lautenberg moment.
Except that when they tried to pick it up it would burn their hands...
When we talk about Democratic seats “falling”, this isn’t what we mean.
I wish him a full and complete recovery. No one should ever revel in another’s injuries or similar troubles. May God bless him and his family and restore him, in Jesus’ name.
Memo to RATs: Someone may be trying to tell you something.
I agree. Falls are very serious for older people. At his age this could be fatal, even if appearing to be benign at first. Older bodies don’t tolerate a lot of throwing around, as in falling down stairs. And 86 is most definitely old. I hope he’s not in pain.
No kidding..but it is amazing that Byrd is still hanging on...
People with misdemeanor domestic violence convictions won’t be allowed to own stairs after he learns how dangerous they can be.
NJ Senate succession policy. Lautenberg was re-elected in 2008 so he would have been in office through the first week in 2015.
According to the Star-Ledger: “Under the current law, when theres a vacancy for U.S. senator, the governor can decide not to fill the seat before the next election cycle; appoint an interim to fill the position until the next election, or call for an immediate special election. In any of those scenarios, with Republican Chris Christie as governor, the Democrats could lose the seat.”
A bill to change the law was introduced in the Demo’s lame-duck session after Christie defeated Corzine but Senate President and former Governor Codey wouldn’t bring it to the floor.

All of this along with the fast unravaling myth of global warming. Makes a person wonder. Someone is sending the snow and cold weather and enough of it to get peoples attention.
No kidding. Better ban stairs so no one else gets hurt....
ROFLMFWAO

86 w/ 30 years in the Senate, past time to retire...
