Who listened to Debra Medina on Beck and came away disgusted. She basically admitted that she is a 911 Truther.
Her run has ended
And we owe Glenn Beck a big Thanks
>>> Ummmm..., Phil is that you?! I didn't know you were posting on Free Republic... No, no Phil here. But I'm not a fan of *GOTCHA* journalism, too. Last time I checked, neither is Glenn. Since I did not hear her say that SHE herself was in fact a 9/11 Truther — instead of likely having some on her volunteer staff — I'll reserve judgment on her until I hear her answer when she's asked again. If she's media savvy at all, her campaign will release a statement sometime this afternoon (if not earlier) disavowing that she's a Truther herself. I'll have a chance to ask her personally on Saturday if she give a BS answer to the Tea Party crowd. But I have to retort: Which one are YOU — Rob Johnson or Terry Sullivan? You seem giddy at the prospects of Texans voting for RINOs Perry or Hutchison. |
When his first question to her was "Tell me about yourself" and she did a long monologue for several minutes on how bad a governor Rick Perry has been? Glenn had to repeat the question, for cryin' out loud -- all through this *interview* she treated it as a campaign stump, speaking over him time and time again. She hardly took a breath, when she did pause, he would attempt another question, same result.
He asked her about the issue because he'd received many emails after announcing his interest in her surge, wanted to have her on. Was he not supposed to ask her about it? Was he supposed to ignore her disingenuous reply afterward??
It’s gotta be Governor Hairdo.
And I was really looking forward not not voting for him. Oh, well...
I don’t agree with everything Beck says and does but I always appreciate the information he provides or exposes.
After all, he could behave like the rest of the media and only ask softball questions. Seems to me that it was exactly that sort of behavior that got us Obama.
Actually, Medina fell for it. THAT is the disappointment. She should have know Beck was in the tank for Perry, and used that to her advantage. Beck put the trap out, asked her to step into it and she did. She’s too stupid to be Governor. That wasn’t a question one has to prepare for, it’s common sense.
Yep, guess I’ll have to vote for “The Devil You Know.”
I was warming up to Medina, until today. There is no way I can support her now. Not only is her run at the governor’s mansion over, this interview may have wrecked her entire political career.
Not true.
Beck set out to find out who she really was. He had to ask more than once which was not good to begin with.
You are so quick to judge Beck, but he asked the same questions most here wanted answers to.
Give me PROOF that Beck wanted to destroy her, that is if you can
She sure didn’t disavow Truthers. Bet her campaign is loaded with them.
Sucks, don’t it?
Recall is still an option.
“....anyone who doesnt have questions about 9/11 is a fool...”
.
Q: Who perpetrated the 9/11 terrorist act, and why do we keep on kissing Muslim ass knowing full well that they have our destruction in mind?
Goodhair is the luckiest politician ever.
The interview threw a huge red flag at the Tea Party folks. We have a responsiblity to be educated about these folks, dig into their past, ideals, and verify everything they profess to be or not be.
Even her supporters on the Paul Forum are saying she’s toast-a-rama. Oh, and they’re also saying Beck was purposely out to destroy her. Yeah, right.
You seem giddy at the prospects of Texans voting for RINOs Perry or Hutchison.
I'm just glad to "out" a 9/11 Truther... and they should all be "outed" and not allowed in office.
>> But I’m not a fan of *GOTCHA* journalism, too. Last time I checked, neither is Glenn.
That wasn’t “gotcha journalism”, it was a reasonable question and received an answer that belied Ms. Medina’s irrationality. It was a simple “yes or no” question. Her lack of a definitive “no” disqualifies her for public office.
The fact that her answer was lousy does not make the question unwarranted ... in fact, it shows why the question was essential.
“Do you believe in God?” is not gotcha journalism. “Do you have a valid birth certificate?” is not gotcha journalism. “Do you believe that Bush was involved in 9-11?” is not gotcha journalism.
Her answer, not the question, is what “got her”.

Holding our nose at the ballot box is something we should be getting used to by now.
The truth is Beck was stunned too. It was not at all what he expected.
