Sen. John McCain's daughter Meghan McCain, who has crafted an image for herself as a voice for young Republicans, took on Sarah Palin and the Tea Party movement on ABC's "The View" on Monday.
--snip--
McCain also took a shot at the Tea Party convention, where Palin was the keynote speaker last weekend. The convention also featured former Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.), who said in his speech, "People who could not spell the word vote or say it in English put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House -- name is Barack Hussein Obama."
Tancredo added, "Thank God John McCain lost the election."
Meghan McCain said Tancredo's statements represented "innate racism."(continued)

Anyone that follows this idiot is beyond description.
She is an utter disgrace.
Skank bitch.
Forget the 15 minutes of fame - how about 30 minutes on the Stairmaster?
Anyone who's married will tell you you have no control over what the Misses thinks or says. McCain has taken a firm, anti-gay marriage stand. His wife's views are not his fault nor are they relevent.
Megan McCain and Levi Johnston will probably be announcing their engagement soon. A intellectual match made in heaven...
Just say “MOOOOOO” Megan.
McCain led the fight on the Senate floor against the Marriage Amendment.
Your parenthetical in the title is classic.
Took the words right outta my mouth.
The old adage: “Acorns don’t fall far from the tree” comes to mind, and if it walks and talks like a duck, McCain is a democrat.
McCain just didn't think the constitution was the vehicle for opposing gay marriage--a lot of conservatives have taken that position. I think he has a point. The constitution has never been used to deny rights or privileges. I'm not comfortable with doing it now though I oppose gay marriage. It should be left to the states to decide--isn't that the conservative position? And so far nearly all the states have gotten it right. But McCain has made clear he opposes gay marriage. He's stated it over and over. He's also remaining steadfast in opposing gays in the military.
Amending my prior post re: my comment about the constitution never having been used to deny rights or privileges, I should say of course that prohibition was in the constitution denying the ability to use alcohol. But we saw how well that worked out and most agree now the constitution was the wrong vehicle for enforcing temperance.
The little brat who put tape on her mouth to support the Stalinists attacking the supporters of Prop 8 is a leftist not a Republican. Just another rich progressive who hates actual Americans. Columbia is full of them.
You should also read the Constitution. It has been used to restrict an individual’s right to their income and to drink alcoholic beverages.
I think the more these idiots insult Sarah Palin and the Tea Partiers the better people will like them. I’m getting sick of the insults and jibes at Sarah and Tea Partiers........The “annointed one” “boy king” would be on the floor of the Oval Office in the fetal position if he had to take 1/2 the insults that Sarah Palin has had to take.
Legal, FDA approved drugs kill over 100,000 every year! (Not to mention illegal drugs coming over HIS OPEN BORDER!
ARIZONA PLEASE DO YOUR STATE AND OUR NATION A FAVOR AND RETIRE THIS TRAITOR!
Your claim that believing this should be left to the states indicates “softness” on the issue is fallacious. It’s even more so when you broad brush them as “social liberals.” I tend to fall on the state rights side of this and I volunteered for the Prop. 8 campaign here in California and did quite a lot to help get it passed. So clearly I’m not soft on the issue nor a social liberal. I just don’t like the Constitution being amended needlessly and think that should be preserved for only the most needed of circumstances. You seem to be adopting the liberals’ argument of the constitution being “a living document.”
As to your other point, many would argue the use of the constitution to institute an income tax or to ban alcohol was an abuse of the document. Just because it’s been abused before doesn’t make a good argument for doing it again. And as I pointed out in my follow up post, I did recall the institution of prohibition. But notice it was repealed. And one could argue the imposition of an income tax at least applied to all and didn’t just single out one group for penalty. I think my argument remains in tact—that the constitution should not be used to target individual groups in denying them privileges. Let the states work it out. As I mentioned, most are making the proper choice to say thumbs down on gay marriage.
A man who fought for his country and suffered for 7 years in a Vietnamese POW camp is a "traitor?" Wow! Disagree with his politics all you want, but is questioning a war hero's patriotism really necessary? We're going to take the GOP right over the edge with this kind of internal cannibalism. The man has voted down nearly everything Obama has proposed and is fearless in speaking out against Obama's far left agenda and his rank incompetence. He's no Arlen Specter. I watch nearly all the political chat shows and long before McCain had a primary challenge he was fiercesomely taking on the Obama administration. Sorry, but this is just way over the top.
The GOP has done gone over the edge time & again during GBs Presidency & before with the bipartisan, reaching across the aisle crap. We conservatives are weeding out the RINOs who have infected our nation with their RepublicRAT BS and McAMNESTY is the main man in that picture. Lately he has switched course so he can sound conservative & pull in gullible suckers to vote for him.
Traitor? What do you call it when he not only fights every attempt to close the border to the illegal invasion but aids & abets LaRaza? He threw the election to Hussein, has never spoken a word of anger or dismay at Hussein's antiAmerican actions, only ridiculed and attacked conservatives. This is a longstanding MO with this man -- Yes, he fought and suffered hell in Hanoi, but in 1990 in the senate he fought every effort to continue investigation and further search for many POWs/MIAs when there was reasonable evidence they DID exist--teaming up with John F'n Kerry to block search & rescue and treating POW families with scorn and contempt.
JD Haworth will hopefully replace McCain.
Pressed for time here, have to leave---if you want an opinion of McCain by a higher rank (lol) ask JimRob what he thinks of the man.
