Oh, and his family, all on the take, thanks to Murtha's influence on steering taxpayer money to "stuff" without qualification.
A whole lot of stinking corrupt scum. God damn them all.

Sorry, that was a play on Obama in wanting to give someone a pain pill instead of a pacemaker.

Yes, I agree Murtha’s work in Congress was “malpractice” as the title states.

Malpractice or justice? This definitley falls outside the 'standard of care', but is a known complication of any laparoscopic proceedure. However, the surgery having been done at Bethsda Navy Hospital, the nearest of kin would probably need to get permission from the government to bring a case. Perhaps a lawyer could clarify, if I have misstated the law.
Dying of a perforated gut is not a pleasant way to die. Multiple intraabdominal abcesses or generalized peritonitis, then generalized sepsis, then pulmonary complications, followed by renal failure and multiple system failure. With him being 78 years old he already had a strike or two against, and if he had concurrent disease such as cardiac, pulmonary, or otherwise problems, he was looking down the barrel of a difficult recovery.

Proof that our system is horribly inept!

Oops, that’s a *government-run* hospital. The 1 pilloried for having too many rats a few years ago.

” but doctors “hit his intestines,”
Peritonitis....
Rough way to go.
Hated his politics.
May he rest in peace and may his family find some too.

"Who or What is up to replace him? "A special election, date to be set within 10 days, probably May 18 (Primary day). I think there are already Republican challengers.

As Obama might put it, "Murtha? He's a corpse, man."
...and taking this route...how come everyone's piling on about the "corps man" pronunciation, but nobody talks about how Obama, when apparently referring the corpsman's ship, said "US&S" instead of "USS"????? Did I miss something?

Kennedy Number One, Murtha Number Two, and my money is on Byrd for Number Three.
And I expect Republicans to win the special elections to replace Murtha and Byrd just as Scott Brown won “The People’s” aka Teddy’s Seat.

Guess Murtha failed to notate before his surgery that God is a Marine and didn’t appreciate Murtha’s turncoat actions!

A human has crossed the great divide: he cannot come to me, but I will go to him...
May God comfort his family in their time of sadness.

I know. I forgot the sarcasm tag.
A democratic congressman said that this is why Obamacare needs to pass. Only problem, it was a government hospital that made the mistake. It doesn’t look good for ‘government run.’ That’s why I made that statement.

Just lost my grandfather to that “2% risk category”. Went in for a surgery and and never came out. One of the worst days of my life to date. He was by far and way one of my most favorite people on the planet. Anyway, it was a “mistake” error, whatever, but after CAREFUL and thorough review it did not rise to the level of malpractice. It does happen...
