National Archives & Records learned in late March 2009 an external hard drive containing copies of backup tapres from Clinton Administration is missing from College Park, Maryland facility.
NARA determined that personal identifiable information including social security numbers may have been exposedto others as a result of this incident.

The hard drive can easily be identified, there is a sticky goo on it. If you find it use gloves.

It does seem odd that the Clinton administration would be concerned with anybody’s SSN except in the context of employment paperwork.
