Californias Costly High Speed Rail Hoax (Conservative Using "People" are Studip Argument)

California has the worst bond rating in the nation, hovering just above junk bond status. .......................................................
Some people place a portion of Californias debt problem at the feet of voters who approve nearly every bond initiative, from $3 billion for an embryonic stem cell research bond to $10 billion in debt to build a high-speed rail system.
Its hard to blame citizens of the Golden State for voting for debt when the most famous Californian, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, proclaims bonds a gift from the future. Its also hard to blame voters for approving bonds when the bond ballot descriptions and arguments are chock full of shaky claims.

DeVore, who is running for the GOP nomination for Senate in California, uses the same exact argument as elitist leftist; the people are stupid and are being falsely led by the other side. Marx would be very proud of DeVore using a variation of his false consciousness argument. If the people are so easily misled then we should give up being a democracy. The people in California voted on these bond measures and approved them. That is because California is infested with big government liberals; I lived there for ten years. It is not because they are easily fooled or stupid.

Well I've lived here 3x longer than you and I can honestly say that the people here are easily fooled AND stupid. Any state that votes for Obama in such overwhelming numbers has to be easily fooled and stupid.
And when just about every news show is about the state budget being in deficit, the state voters go out and approve bond measures on stem cell and high speed rail. If this isn't foolish and stupid, then tell me what is.
Most of the people I know are, if not stupid woefully ignorant and VERY easily fooled. I rest my case.

I live and vote in Communefornia, and here’s how I vote.
1) Does it cost money?
- If Yes, then I vote NO!
- If No, then I consider it.
-End of rules.

Agreed. Actually, I do think people should use this as a rejoinder. It’s ridicule turned inside out.

"Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, proclaims bonds a gift from the future. "OMG did he really say that? We should summarily toss him out of the Reublican party just for that...
Arnold.. it is THEFT from the future.
Why not just make a bond deal payable in the year 3000? Let THEM worry about it!

C19fan,
The majority of California voters absolutely are fools. They don't need the help of politicans to vote for stupid things. California voters in general believe in free lunches, with the two bond issues here - stem cell research and high speed trains - being perfect examples.
California voters view state bond issues as a bottomless piggie bank that they don't have to pay for. I see no indication of this opinion changing.
