I thought the same thing watching them last night.....would NEVER buy an Audi after watching that ad.
That was our reaction, too. It was “there we are soon.” Wouldn’t take an Audi as a gift. Creepy, creepy ad.
What’s also ironic is that greenies and C.A.R.B. would probably ban this car from being sold in California. Environuts hate diesels:

Why would they have to point out “this is nuts” -
anyone with common sense would say “that’s nuts”,
but they’d also say “that’s what the econazis have in mind”.
I got it, and I’m not that far above average in intelligence.
I really don’t understand why the commercial is offensive. The idea of a green police force of course is offensive but these folks were making fun of that. Were you offended by “Springtime for Hitler?”
I have a friend who had to have the engine in his new car rewired because critters crawled up into the engine and made a meal out of the wire casings while we were on vacation, and also proceeded to build a nest and have babies in one of the engine cavities. The repair guy said that these new eco-friendly wire coverings and casings are made from soy products, which these critters love to nibble on, and he is making a mint off of the repairs.
Moronic green people will be the death of us yet.
I’ve never seen a more detrimental (to the company airing it) add in my life. I vowed never to buy an Audi. Never.
Whoever came up with these has no business being in marketing.
Im with Rush on this. Audi score on both sides. THey were clearly making fun of the Green movement and not supporting The Green Police.
I think Audi tried to split the uprights on this one. One the one hand, giving credence to the Green Police offends us. On the other hand, they mocked the prospect of an arrest over incandescent lighting - one of the Green Movements biggest debacles (the CF Bulb is far more dangerous than the incandescent it supposedly replaces).
So, on balance I liked it.
My guess is that is who they are marketing to ECO-NAZIS.
Pretty stupid move for an Hun Run Company.
I thought Audi was poking fun at the eco-Nazis. Sure made folks talk about the ad :-)
It was very funny......
Using humor could be an avenue for getting through to these left wing loons. Let’s face it, the langauge of reason doesn’t work.
Although the ad was a little weird, Audi's attitude is clearly that the "Green Police" are not a good thing. Doesn't that fit with the POV of conservatives?
So, why does this dim writer decry the ad? If the ad was not to sell a car, but to warn of a very bad idea that is coming our way, would the writer have complained about it or lauded it?
I was able to read between the lines and see that it was a warning to our possible future, but most libtards probably thought it was a good idea.
They’re funny ads, and anybody that didn’t get the “this is nuts” message was deliberately not paying attention.
What will you think when you see an Audi on the road next time? First few things that come to mind for me.
green
avoids future shock
safe
anti-establishment
You’re talking about it. You hate how you feel. But what will Audi do for you if that dark day of fascism comes? God, it’s pure psychological genius. And hell, if you hate Audi there is another german car with similar features that you may buy. It’s a Volkswagon and VW owns Audi.
It’s the same with the Hyundai commercials talking about safety and reliability. Where do you go to buy a car if you were looking at Toyotas and were turned off? Hyundai with the 10 yr 100,000 warranty. Who owns Hyundai? Toyota.
Makes you think.
I thought it was hilarious. But I’m weird that way.
Audi shows their true colors in this ad:

Which, I assume is an answer to this one:

I thought it was a funny ad... Mocking the green nazi’s, but showing you can still get a decent MPG in a cool car. (Not the clown cars the green police were driving.) TDI are excellent. What’s wrong with getting 40+ MPG, while having room for 5 people with the ability to go 100mph. (yes, i know that’s speeding)
I also realized that some people on here can really suck the fun out of anything...
