Andrea Mitchell, identified by NBC News as the network's Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent, this morning joined in the attacks on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin over the 2008 Republican party's vice-presidential nominee's use of notes written on her hand during an appearance at the Tea Party Nation convention in Nashville this past weekend.
Appearing on MSNBC's the Daily Rundown, Mitchell lampooned Palin by holding up her hand with scribbling on her palm while castigating Palin for criticizing Barack Obama for his reliance on TelePrompTers.
Co-host Chuck Todd, who can usually be found on his knees in front of Obama, surprisingly tried to defend Palin by saying, "We've all done notes."
Mitchell was having none of that, though and insisted this was a capital political offense.
attacked yesterday by Democratic National Committee spokesman Hari Sevugan for having the words, "Energy, Tax Cuts, Lift American Spirits" written on the palm of her left hand during her Tea Party appearance.
Palin responded to her liberal critics yesterday by writing "Hi Mom!" on her left palm during a campaign stop for Texas Governor Rick Perry's reelection bid.
Perfect response, Sarah. Just laugh at them. They HATE that!

The other reporter is right. We’ve all done that.
(None) of us however, has ever used a teleprompter. For anything.
Having notes is far different than having a teleprompted script.
These people are so petty, they have become a joke to all except their own kinds.........

It shows utter stupidity on Palin’s part,especially when they will take the smallest thing and use it against you. That to me shows she isn’t presidential material, the MSM won’t cover for her as they did for Obambi the manchild.
I’m confused. They critique Palin because of a few notes jotted on her hand, but adore the President who can’t string two words together without the help of a teleprompter.
Talk about a double standard.

I agree. Boy, the Mid-Stream Media is really really stretching it. A few words written on her hand? Geez, BO has entire speeches on his teleprompter! And remember when his teleprompter crashed and broke at the White House? Just imagine if that had happened to Bush? It would have been the lead story on “Softballs with Chris Matthews.”
It shows, once again, how *unscripted* Sarah is. She was simply making a note *not to forget energy independence* if the opportunity presented itself.
Thankfully, she does not use middle finger signals like the other one.
