Beautiful thread, Kathy.

Happy Birthday Scouts!

Thank goodness for boys who are trained up to be REAL men...
by men who started where the current boys are now!

Good morning, Everyone. Good morning to our

AWESOME

Military, our Allies, and their families.

THANK YOU for all you do.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activities.

p.s. I know I'm late but you guyz leave MA ALONE! She's a hard worker at the Canteen. She's allowed to make a few boo boos!

DC Metroland weather report

~ Today...Sunny. High 36F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

~ Tonight...A few passing clouds. Low 16F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

I can't believe my eyes. I'm watching our local forecast and they're talking about another system coming in Tues afternoon. It appears I'll have enough time to get to the office tomorrow, catch up on some work, pack up the rest and bring it home before we get another round.

Lucky for my homestead, we shouldn't get much. Not so lucky for DC and north, they may get 6-10.

I know we sound like wimps around here but we are not used to getting this much snow in one year. I hope never to see this much again.

Hubby and I shoveled snow off and on all weekend. We got about 18-20 inches and it was a wet snow, so pretty heavy. I ache all over. Today, I rest!

There are still a lot of people without power in the area. If you live in VA, MD, DC or other areas hit by the storm, and you are reading this, please try to help someone who is without power. Make sure they have food, water, enough blankets to keep warm.

One other thing - Major KUDOs to the road crews who have worked all weekend to get roads passable and keep them so. KUDOS to the power guyz who have worked in bitter cold to restore power as much as they can.

At least they had a break in the weather yesterday and will again today to try get to the rest.

Right now I need to make my rounds and catch up and check up.

Now remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS

Come on in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS

REMEMBER THEM

DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT

Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

Good morning, Kathy!

Good morning, EVERYBODY!

GOOD

MORNING

TROOPS!

Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

Happy Birthday to my old club! I had some great memories as a Boy Scout, including a bus trip to the International Boy Scout Jamboree in Idaho back in 1973. Got to see Bob Hope live in person there! What an amazing time that was!

God bless the BSA. I've got one Eagle Scout and two almost Eagles. A fine program, indeed.

Proud to be a Scout mom,

Just received this message from Txradioguy on Facebook:

“We have arrived!!!”

Just so everyone knows, they are now in Germany. Lucky dogs! LOL! They flew out of DC in spite of the blizzard and I am sure have a huge case of jet lag right now!
