A movie star in politics?
NOT a legend in his own time
MAN WE MISS HIM.
Happy birthday to our man Ronald Reagan.
WFB, Jr & RR. I must read Buckley's book, "The Reagan I Knew."
So many books, so precious little time...
Just got home a short time ago for the Ronald Reagan Birthday Bash -— Rally for America put on by Cuyahoga County Republican Club(Cleveland OH).. about 300 or so present including two outstanding men running for Dennis Kucinich seat.. Lots of good speakers & petitions & mingling
Thank you for your outstanding contributions.. I have not seen most of what you have posted. They are great.
And speaking of great.. Your profile page.. JUST WOW! great job & you Reagan tribute is amazing!
Appreciate so much your input to the thread!
Now it is almost time to gear in for the Super Bowl (well after the Cavalier’s game tonight!)
I agree. I have a dozen here I own that are not read & a list a mile long.. Light a good little ADDH, just dont get all done I want
love this.. was it from a movie?
This pix of RWR & the Pope gives me shivers.. beautiful setting, colors etc. wonder who shot it? was it Pulitzer material?
two men I admired...
No. It’s a more modern photograph.
Probably taken on his ranch.
I have been searching desperately on YouTube for Reagan’s final great speech at Oxford in 1992. Maybe by then the early stages of Alzheimer’s was just beginning, but to me it was one of Reagan’s greatest speeches, and served as his parting words to the future generations.
Things were better back then......
YEP, YEP, YEP, YEP!!!
And the 500 people in the room with me today for a local Freedom Rally knew that too. And we want that back, and now!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIPPER!!
I had to leave at 2:30, how long did that great event last?
That’s my favorite, too. A true gentleman!
I miss Ronnie and Everything he represents!
Ronald Reagan was the First Conservative I ever voted for, and 1980 was also the year I committed my life to Christ.
During that time I was full time self employed as a gigging musician and music therapist in Boston. I also had a Music ministry, played organ in Church, was in two bands, sold my quilts and artwork at craft fairs, and loved life in America.
But all the time there were the hateful democrats, academia, and the media, trying to discredit and tear down everything Reagan stood for.
Those were great time though, weren’t they? I sure miss him.
Happy birthday to President Reagan. How we miss you.
Can’t find it, either. Checked on Google and some DUmmie was asking for it, or a transcript, and they couldn’t find it.
Thank you, DollyCali for one wonderful thread! Many of these pics I had not seen before. I will never forget how glad I was when he was elected in ‘80, and sad when he left in ‘88. But—Ronald Reagan did not really leave us, his spirit lives on & always will.
