Disappointed With Sarah, Again
Vanity | 2/4/09

Posted on 02/04/2010 9:35:43 AM PST by dangus

Sarah endorses INCREASING immigration with Glenn Beck:

PALIN: Let me address legal immigration and we need to continue to be so welcoming and inviting of those who are represented there by our Statue of Liberty. The immigrants, of course, built this country. And I think republicans, conservatives are at fault when we allow the other side to capture this immigration issue and try to turn this issue into something negative for republicans. I think we need to recognize that again, immigrants built this great country. There are rules to follow if you want to be a part of this great country. Let's make sure people are following the rules. But let's welcome this.

BECK: Do you agree with me make the door wider and make it easier to bring people in, you know, Bill Gates said, I have a hard time keeping people here because it's so complex. Make, just streamline it and make it easier for people to come in the right way.

PALIN: Every part of bureaucracy needs to be streamlined, absolutely. And people do need to come in the right way. They cannot take advantage of what this country has to offer. The opportunities, the help that is here, they need to do this legally

When Gov. Palin endorsed Sen. John McCain, I was forgiving, because they had been part of a team. But Palin has also endorsed Sen. Lindsey Graham, the man whose hatred for conservatives and grassroots is exceeded in the Republican Party only by Sen. Arlen Specter. Oh, wait...

I'm not saying Gov. Palin is evil, liberal, or statist. But I've been pleading with people to find out what she actually stands for before they stampede to someone based on their personality and/or presence. Maybe she can still be reached, but I'm developing severe concerns we may be on the threshold of lunging headlong to yet another candidate who doesn't represent the conservative viewpoint.

Again, I emphasize she's not necessarily bad, but we should find out exactly how she stands on:

goldstategop is not only a troll but a cowardly troll, she will not interact with freepers.

She will only post her troll stuff and then refuse clarification or discussion even on her own troll threads she will not answer posts.

Show me where she agrees with McAmnesty’s positions? She even said during the campaign of ‘08 that there were issues they disagreed on. She clearly does not support amnesty. And I have never seen where she ENDORSED Graham. She gave him money-—which was the exact same amount of money he gave her PAC when she formed it. They are now “even”-—I think that was by design so she now owes him nothing.

I look at Sarah Palin as the champion for normal people. She’s not corrupt, she’s pro-life, she fought the Republican establishment (her own party!!) corruption in her state, she’s tough - press came after her with both guns and she withstood it and turned it back on them.

And that’s just a start.

Oh, and she shoots, she hunts and she fishes. She wants to drill for oil in OUR country rather than paying the Arabs. She has a son in the military - she supports our military.

Better stop now but I could go on.

Must have been directed to come here by a troll from the DUmmies or the Kosskies.

It’s ok, they are not hard to spot with their intelligence running out their ears.

"I have NO problem with LEGAL immigration...."

Me neither. Streamline the process, get rid of 2/3s of department dead wood, and limit the annual applicant numbers to a sustainable amount.

Your comments on Palin are the typical liberal troll line

December 2009

Lars Larson radio talk show

LARS: The amnesty proposal that was defeated in Congress — in your view, was that amnesty for illegals and would you back amnesty for a path to citizenship, as the current president calls it?

SARAH PALIN: No, I’m not for amnesty. Let’s ratchet this down quite simply to remember what we’re referring to. Illegal aliens are called “illegal” for a reason.

We need to secure our borders and I am not for amnesty. And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.

I wondered about that “heads-up”.

Speaking of heads-up, I’ve heard that liberals are so open minded that their brains fell out. :^)

Palin is spreading her political capital too thin attempting to show loyalty to the same lame crowd of non-conservative republicans in office. A dumb move, considering how the incumbent political class are finally being challenged via tea party protests by the very people who revere her the most.

““There are rules to follow if you want to be a part of this great country.” Sarah Said.

Supporting immigration BY THE RULES is NOT a bad thing.
Everything else in the article is hyperbole based on a premise that she somehow favors illegals, which is absolutely WRONG.”

______

Okay, how do you square her statements that she is against deportation AND workplace enforcement? THAT is the law.

Palin: “Well, the unfortunate thing of course about the raids is that it does affect the families involved here. Parents and children are separated and that’s tragic.”

Sarah Palin: There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant - there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants - not only economically is that just an impossibility but that’s not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.”

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. NO, IMMIGRANTS did NOT build this country! There were 4 or 5 ‘immigrants’ who were founding fathers. American citizens built it and fought for it FAR more than ‘immigrants’ever did.

A very dishonest statement. One of my ancestors that fought in the Revolution came here in 1738. He was a BRITISH SUBJECT. There were NO Americans yet.

Sarah wont get any kind of majority respect, she doesn’t expect to. Reason...most people are plain stupid or biased (and stupid) in some way. She will be a major player because the people who support her “really” support her with money.

Personally I smell retread, I think that you know a lot about Governor Palin and why a conservative like her would be so popular on a conservative site like freerepublic.

Welcome to freerepublic, by the way.

She cares about God,family and her fellow man.

She understands failure, humility, and found success.

She is honest and trustworthy and she says what she means and means what she says.

I love her because even though I was just another face in the crowd when she grabbed my hand and held it for just a moment and said “Thanks for coming” (to one of her rallies)
I felt that of all the meet-and-greets I've attended in my lifetime, she was the only one who actually meant it.
