WASHINGTON (Feb. 3) -- Colin Powell, who as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the 1990s led the opposition to letting gays serve openly in the military, said today he had changed his mind.

The little bit of respect I had for him (his military service) is totally gone now.
Black supports Black...PERIOD!! No matter what....it’s DISGUSTING!
Colin Powell had a chance to provide a command enviornment that would stop people like Major Hasan but did nothing on that account. He has no credibility.
No surprise here at all from Powell! I am surprised he has not joined the obamma administration as of yet, at least openly?
the military has now found someone to lead its very first “gay pride” day - or will gays, like blacks and women, get a month?
You got it.. they don’t know how to just live like they please and keep their mouth shut about it. They will want to be in our face with it. Really bad decision. May never have happened it don’t ask, don’t tell was handled properly. The military did not handle the don’t ask part correctly. So now the military will have to deal with “Lieutenant twinkle toes” and not be able to do anything about it.
So,,, Colon ends up being a a-hole. Seems about right.
So let Powell share a shower with a pervert or a toilet booth with a deviant. This is their goal and let him share it.
no surprise here.
powell is simply being who he really was all along.
Who is / was Colin Powell? /S
Powell is a demokrat, why waste time on him.
Fun facts:
Al Gore could become worlds first carbon billionaire
Last year Mr Gores venture capital firm loaned a small California firm $75m to develop energy-saving technology.
The company, Silver Spring Networks, produces hardware and software to make the electricity grid more efficient.
The deal appeared to pay off in a big way last week, when the Energy Department announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants, the New York Times reports. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts.
The move means that venture capital company Kleiner Perkins and its partners, including Mr Gore, could recoup their investment many times over in coming years.

Colin Powell, “The Liberal” has finally come out of the closet.
This is what will go down.
Some loser PVT homo with poor performance who fails PT tests will sexually harass a high performing SPC or SGT until the high performer stands up and tells the homo something the military should tell him. Then, claiming harassment, the SPC or SGT will receive a less than honorable discharge and some squad will be down one important leader and up one low performing PVT homo. Soldiers will die and Obama won’t care, unless he can get their funerals on TV.
Wait. It will happen a lot.
As long as he’s alright with pink military boots for cancer awareness then I guess it’s ok.
He’s an idiot and only got where he was because of the GOP.
maybe he would like to share a room with two open homos, he can share the showers.
I expect more of this pro homo crap in the military now bozo has said he wants it.
look for anyone of the 1% pro homo officers to come out for this and watch the media get them on TV trying to make it look like the military wants it.
Also another pro homo poster was zapped last night by Jim as there has been more pro homo trolls on here
Gee, what a surprise!
Ditto for me.
