The RNC continues to spin the successes of candidates like Mark Kirk (R-IL) as the same kind of revolutionary citizen uprising that took Massachusetts by storm. Even the news media are already framing Kirk's likely victory in November as a sequel to Scott Brown.
But Scott Brown was not a radically anti-gun, openly pro-abortion environmental extremist who voted for Cap-and-Trade...

“We should take it back”
We never had it.
Only if Steele is kicked out. Steele is a trojan horse and a RINO of the worst kind. I enjoy sending their donation and membership requests back to them, along with a snotty letter as to why there is no check inside. Of course I always use their prepaid envelope. Does it matter to them that I told them to take me off of their list and that I was using my money to donate to real conservative candidates? Heck no, they keep sending me things.
Not this ole conservative country boy.
Not as far as I know.
They certainly picked the winner and loser in the Illinois senate primary. Just like they picked who they wanted in NY-23.
It seems to backfire on them everytime.
I don’t understand why they continue.
Oh yeah. Because Michael “We Won’t Win in 2010” Steele is an idiot.
No. Since 2006 I have sent-back every RNC plea for money by stuffing the pre-paid envelope with as many pages from gun magazines that will fit.
The rnc brought us mcnutts which gave us the narxist that is destroying our great country.Give only to conservatives.
My reply, if you republicans wish to gain independent minded conservative support........fix your republican candidates.
Not my fault your republican candidate is a soft squishy lil moderate puke with Anti-American hyperglobalistic leanings.
Fix’em and I'll vote for’em.
Otherwise, I'm voting for a conservative constitutionalists.
Period.
No. The RNC will become more of a clearing house for influence peddling by larger interests. Conservatives are better served by scrutinizing individual candidates and donating time and money on a case by case basis.
Kirk may win and he is certainly better than any Dim, but he won’t have many conservative individuals giving him money and doing the activist grunt work.
that was one of the most boneheaded statement i ever heard from the leader of a national party
honestly even if you really dont think you are going to win you have to at least express the confidence to do so
Steele is a doofus
i thought i heard that they stopped getting involved in primaries after NY23 because of that fiasco
i may be wrong though
I trashed the last request for donations. I’ve asked to have my name removed from their mailing list several times. I did about the same as you, but used the Juan McCain and Jorge Bush Pesos to fill the envelopes. I also sent a note back that my donations woould go to conservative candidates in statewide races.
NO. And Conservatives shouldn’t have been supporting the RNC for at least the last 14 years....
Best way to get conservative candidates for election: Conservatives get yourself on the ballot to run for precinct committeeman (aka precinct captain).
I takes as few as 10 signatures to get on the ballot. Many of these slots are currently empty, and you could run unopposed.
Only ELECTED captains get to vote on party leadership. They also help with the party platform. The candidates they endorse often win the primary in their precinct.
It takes about 3 hours per month to perform your duties. The website www.nationalprecinctactivists.com has info for all the states. If you already have a precinct captain, make freinds and influence the captain, or run against them, if you do not like their views.
Do this in addition to what you already do. Instead of dumb and dumber, we could have smart and smarter for candidates.
Down here we have the same problem. The RNC has annointed McCollum to be the next governor. He is nice to his Mom but we have Paula Dockery; a candidate for governor with a track record of conservative values and proof she stands for them.
Many of my friends are registered Republicans that say they won’t contribute to or vote for McCollum.
Quoting Paula “People are tired of it. Theyre beyond cynical and moving toward angry. And thats one reason so many Republicans tell me they want a choice in this primary, somebody whos NOT been anointed by Tallahassee insiders.”
Amen. There are plenty of empty precinct committeeman (aka precinct captain) slots. Take over the precincts, and you get to elect new leadership to the Republican party. Same for the other parties. You get to influence the party platform.
You get to endorse candidates, and since a lot of people do not pay attention to politics, you can have a lot of influence on who wins the precinct.
Add this to your other activities. It’s the Grass Roots and GOTV of the political parties.
Support it? Sure, after the current ‘leadership’ has been made to walk the plank and the RNC returns to representign true conservative values in a muscualr and unapologetic manner.
Then we’ll talk.
Nope. Give DIRECTLY to the Conservative candidates of your choice.
Be an individual. Support individuals who value the individual.
Parties are for children and sheep.
