We do not want a homo-dominated military that would cowardly run under enemy fire.

I served and I think gays SHOULD serve openly...provided they are issued pink tutus and ballet slippers to wear instead of a regular uniform. They must be instantly recognizable so that everyone else can pay them the respect that their superior status deserves.

Ever wonder why at the beginning of this debate, allthe congressionalhearings and studies conducted, were done by congressmen and flag officers???
No one at anytime brought in the senior NCO’s or other folks that would have to actually deal with this issue.in the trenches, so to speak...
It’s ok, to have a policy that can be used as a directive to handle issues in the military, we had to deal with that stuff all the time, no matter what the issue was...
But until you actually see the results of that policy or directive, you are not learning anything...Regardless if it is a success or a failure...
And the whole “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy was, in my opinion neither a success or a failure...It was just a neutral policy that only succeeded in legitimizing an immoral lifestyle...In that, they succeeded...
Now all they want to do is further errode the military services with additional demoralizing policies...
Just my opinion...

Homosexuality was not tolerated in the Roman military, it was a capital offense.

The stats have barely changed, even though almost twice as many people have voted now. Somehow, I’m just not buying it.

Perhaps not. But, it was tolerated in the Senate, and was partially responsible for the downfall of the Roman Empire, among other reasons. The Roman hierarchy became to “civilized” and too complacent.

"Would like to see a vote only from people that have actually served in the military." I'm with you FRiend. That was my first thought too. I served and voted NO...and I only voted NO because HELL NO wasn't an option.
Here's a *salute* to a fag and lesbian free US Army!

Limp wrists are a liability in hand-to-hand combat. Not to mention the risks to proper operation of most military sidearms. "Limp wristing" a handgun usually results in something known as the stovepipe jam.
