PHOENIX Republican Sen.-elect Scott Brown of Massachusetts has recorded a robocall message for John McCains re-election campaign in Arizona.
Brown made the recording a day or two after his Jan. 19 victory over Democrat Martha Coakley. The four-term senator from Arizona endorsed Brown in the race for the Senate seat held previous by the late Edward Kennedy.
McCain spokeswoman Brooke Buchanan said Brown has offered to help the Arizona senator in his campaign.
In the message, Brown introduces himself as the newly elected senator from Massachusetts and says that McCain supported him when few people thought he could win. He encouraged callers to support McCain.
The robocall message was played to Arizona callers last week.
"Scott Brown has long admired Senator McCains independent spirit and record of public service," said Felix Browne, a spokesman for Scott Browns campaign. "He has described Sen. McCain as one of his political heroes and was grateful to count Sen. McCain among his earliest supporters."
McCain faces Minuteman Civil Defense Corps co-founder Chris Simcox in the Republican primary. Former U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth is planning to join the Republican field, though he hasnt formally announced his candidacy.
Rodolfo "Rudy" Garcia of Tucson, a former city councilman in Bell Gardens, Calif., is the only Democrat who has officially entered the race. Tucson City Councilman Rodney Glassman, a Democrat, has formed an exploratory committee, but hasnt yet made a formal announcement.
McCain has never lost a statewide election in Arizona.
He won his last two re-election races with more than two-thirds of the vote, and easily carried his home state in the 2008 presidential election with 54 percent of the vote.

Let us not forget....
John McCain is a recipient of funding from GEORGE SOROS....
I’ll take Abrahamoff over SOROS anyday....
Oh look. The McCainiac at post 1 is now dead.
I seem to remember McCain being for cap and trade too..
Suspended or zotted, I dunno. Maelstrom was an odd one. He backed good Conservative candidates in other states in his posts, and then he ruined his record by shilling for Cap’n Strawberries attacking Hayworth.
Oh wait... wrong Arizona politician. My bad, my friends.
Heh! Nailed it...
Which RINO is Maelstorm trumpeting for in Illinois? Kirk, the commie-lite? Mal, you are a troll for the RINO herd.
Didn’t read all the posts. I posted to dead cat-food. RIP, Mal.
If people think that a guy who’s been expressing conservative values on this site since 1999 is suddenly a troll because he isn’t hailing Hayworth as the new Messiah, that’s groupthink. Claim it isn’t all you want, but it won’t change reality.
We owe mkjessup a lot for tracking that wretched troll from thread to thread.
mk you rock!!
Oh it wasn’t just me FRiend, it was a whole host of FReepers who had his number and pelted him with the truth, like AuntB for instance, she beat him like a drum!
I can’t believe a RINO-apologist/enabler like that actually managed to survive on FR since 1999 (the sign up date for the dearly departed fart-in-a-whirlwind, aka ‘m’storm).
Everyone enjoy your week! :)
MKJ
BTTT!
You’re welcome. *brushes away troll dust*
Too late Mad Tom, Maelstorm sleeps with the RINOs.

Auntb is so doggone reliable, you can forget to credit her. She did indeed blast the troll with facts. No doubt we will need her to post these facts again soon ;-)
Yeah, that one was particularly odious ;-)
How did maelstrom get a new life?
