New York Times Defends Pro-Life Ad Featuring Tim Tebow, Mom's Non-Abortion

New York, NY -- The New York Times is no bastion of pro-life thought and has taken a consistently aggressive pro-abortion stance over the years. In what may come as a shock to pro-life advocates, the liberal newspaper issued an editorial today taking abortion advocates to task for blasting an ad featuring Tim Tebow.

I honestly proclaim I am SHOCKED!

I truly doubt their sincerity.

I suspect they are hurting financially and either want controversy or more consumers for their papers. Liberal and other godless cretins are notoriously CHEAP. With their circulation in the dumpster this may be a bone for the people with $$$ or more conservative.

Either their circulation must really be in dire straights or someone snuck this editorial in the paper.

Here’s a tip to the “Pro Choice” crowd. If the only “choice” is abortion, there ain’t no “choice”.

Even a stopped watch is correct twice a day. Of course, the New York Slimes’ watch has a calendar on it, so it’s correct twice a YEAR.

As for CBS why should they pull the ad now? The controversy will bring even more eyes to the commercials waiting to see the Tebow ad. Wouldn’t surprise me if they tucked in the Tebow ad near the end of their commercial lineup as the other ads get more beneficial attention as well. Follow the $$$$$.

I think you have it correct as far as the motives of the NYT, but it also may be the “canary in the coal mine”. They recognize that fewer and fewer, especially among the young, accept this barbaric sacrament, no matter how many false words are used to cover it, no matter how often they’re told that “Roe is the law of the land”. God Himself, working through people many times, has brought a light to all this. Ultra-sound technology and DNA testing didn’t exist at the time of Roe, for example. Those who developed those technologies may not have known they were “doing God’s work”, but that doesn’t limit Him, does it? There are other non-science areas of our culture which have seen and shared what light He offers as well. A coal mine is a very dark place, by the way. Those who love the darkness would rather have it explode and collapse than to tolerate the light.

There’s been a hot debate over whether or not Tebow has what it takes to be a successful NFL Quarterback.
Here is a message posted on the Vikings board:

The NFL needs a dynamic athlete who can run and throw. He will revolutionize the quarterback position.”
Football fans have been inundated with that media message for decades. . . but the NFL doesn’t want that guy to be Tim Tebow, the senior quarterback for the University of Florida who won the Heisman Trophy in 2008.
Since the outcry for an “athlete” at quarterback began, fans have been relentlessly “informed” by media messages that insist there is “systemic racism” by college and NFL football teams opposing opportunities for black quarterbacks. This, we’re told, is why there aren’t hordes of black quarterbacks who can fill the bill.
In reality the exact opposite is true.
And for better than two decades sports outlets such as ESPN have filled the public’s mind with assertions that, “So and so [insert any black guy’s name here] is a game-changer,” to give “validity” to the notion that fans are actually seeing the best players available. This scripted sermon is given religiously every Saturday despite the obvious fact that most of these “electrifying playmakuhs” aren’t even marginally effective at throwing the football.
The truth is, the Powers That Be have been dreaming of a player like Tim Tebow who would revolutionize the quarterback position for decades now — only Tebow is the wrong color to be “that” quarterback. Or should I say quotaback?

..and maybe they can't help but look at Tim Tebow and see this handsome young man, full of energy and good will...

..and know, but by the grace of God, he might not have existed.............if his mom had been abortion minded.

wouldn’t that make it correct only once a year?

There actually was a black person who would have revolutionized the quarterback position...except that his mom was convinced by Planned Parenthood to have an abortion.

If the time portion of the watch is a 24-hour variety, yes. Most watches are 12-hour versions, though, so it would be correct, say, at 10:15AM on 2/1 and 10:15PM on 2/1.
