After reading some more Koran tonight, I had an epiphany.
I realized that some of the worst parts of the Koran were similar to worst parts of the Christian Bible. I now believe many parts of both were misinterpreted.
While I realize that Islam has been violent throughout its history, so has Judeism and Christianity (think Crusades).
I'm not sure I believe in the 72 virgin promise, but I am starting to get Mohammed's believe in a better after-life. I need to read more.
That said, our world has gone to shit. There can be a better place for those who believe.
Yes, I know I've been promoting the opportunity and potential of our original Founding Fathers' intent for years, but they were also persons of faith. I don't know what happened...call it a vision...call it a dream...call it what you like.
This is tough stuff for me. But when you have a "vision" of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, where do you go?
The last prophet was Mohammed. Yes, I know of his trangressions, the same as others. But his writing are starting to make sense.
Get a grip. If you believe in anything, you believe in nothing.

Those who follow Islam over Christianity have a fundamental problem with justice. There must be a sacrifice provided to God for the fall in the garden before He is free to bless any of us in order for Him to remain both righteous and just.
He is more than one or the other, righteous or just, He is both which compromise His Holiness.
When He comes to no longer tolerate evil amongst His presence, there must be something within us which is Divinely recognizable as righteous and something to remove all evil from His presence.
Without Christ, we have no perfect sacrifice which will remove evil and without faith in and through Christ, we have no known good which will endure all Divine tests of righteousness.
Those who seek another course are free to pursue such endeavors, provided they obey legitimate authority, but there will remain the first death, and then the judgment for all men, so there is no reincarnation, or out-card to avoid the judgment, but their is an alternate judgment seat for those with faith in Christ, by which all sins have alreay been judged and believers are merely judged for their works to determine which rewards will be eternally granted us by our Intercessor.
Islam ignores the justice inherent in God’s Holiness which demands perfect righteousness. While many Muslims might seek to perform works which are just or righteous, without them being performed on by His protocol, they simply become a good work performed in a wrong fashion, still lacking righteousness and either having received their rewards already or simply good for nothingness.

You now believe marrying a 6 year old child & consummating that “marriage” when she was 9 was/is a good thing? Polygamy is a good thing? Beating your wife is a good thing? Cheating, lying, & stealing is OK if done to a non-muslim? You now believe my word in a court of law is worth less than yours?

If you follow islam, then we infidels have every right to believe you are a cheating, lying, stealing, wife beating, supporter of a pedophile who wants to murder and/or enslave anyone else who is not a muslim.
